"Too Cute To Spook"
Batleigh Bats Slimline Card

The Batleigh Bats are so excited for Halloween and love to fly around Furness Forest on foggy twilight nights!
To make my "Too Cute To Spook" slimline card I designed the scene in Silhouette Design Studio by first laying out my slimline folded card elements that are included in these 2 sets from my A Charming Christmas Collection: Snowmen Slimline Make-a-Card Layered SVG Cutz and the Christmas Baubles Slimline Make-a-Card Layered SVG Cutz. I printed out the Furness Forest Winter Treescape with a tiny Wicked Moon included in the scene and used the smallest mat layer from the slimline card set to cut out the panel using my Silhouette Cameo 4.
To create the foggy twilight night I blended Villainous Potion and Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide inks over the printed image then added white acrylic paint to the Wicked Moon. I then print and cut out all 3 of the flying Batleigh Bats and the "Too Cute To Spook" senti that comes included in the Batleigh Bats set with a narrow offset as well as shadow offset mat layers cut from black cardstock.
For lots of magical sparkle I painted all of the Batleigh Bats with Spectrum Noir Sparkle glitter ink pens and used Prismacolor pencils on just their eyes. I then used a dark lime green textured cardstock for the mat layer and black cardstock to cut out the folded slimline card base.

ReplyDeleteOh my but I love these little ghoulish bats in that sparkly green! The fog is awesome and I love the forest scene for the back with that creeptastic moon! Reminds me I need to use that scene and moon before Halloween is past! Inspiring as always, my friend!
