For Day 24 our 31 Days of Halloween 2023 SPOOKtivities Val has a SPOOKTACULAR card featuring a Digi Stamp from the Quirkleighs CarnEVil 2019 Halloween Collection 🎃

 

 

 

Val's drop dead gorgeous Fallween make today makes a dramatic statement in shades of orange with the SPOOKTACULAR Stack o' Carved Pumpkins center stage!  She printed out the pumpkins, coloured them BOOtifully with Promarkers and white gel pen and black Micron details.  She then added amazing spellbinding sparkle to each pumpkin's eyes with a Sakura Silver glitter pen.  She made her wonderful embossed background with the Cracked Tim Holtz Texture Fade embossing folder which she coloured with Distress Oxide inks.  She then used Tim's Stacked Tags dies to cut the embossed panel and the mat layer from black cardstock.  She then completed her tag with colour coordinating eyelash fibers and adhered the Stack o' Carved Pumpkins to the tag with foam pads for lots of fun dimenson.

🎃Day 11 of 31 Days of Halloween 2019🎃 
Stack o' Carved Pumpkins from The Quirkleighs CarnEvil Collection!

 .....YOU BLINK.....
 It's now day break! 

You find yourselves standing uncertainly in the empty field on the outskirts of town!
The last thing you remember is the piercing stare of the Grimm Reaper!

 An odd stack of carved pumpkins marks the spot where the Quirkleighs CarnEvil Big Top stood!

I coloured the Stack o' Carved Pumpkins from The Quirkleighs CarnEvil Collection with Copics and used a white Prismacolor pencil for the highlights.   I completely fussy cut them out and added Judikins Diamond glaze to all their eyes and the stalk on the top pumpkin.  I then added white highlights to all their eyes with a white Dylusions paint pen.

 For the card base I made a tall and thin folded card from a sheet of matt black Crafter's Companion cardstock.  Then I created the bootiful "sun rise" sky background with mixed media cardstock sprayed with Mustard Seed, Worn Lipstick, Candied Apple and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Sprays.

 The moon is low in the sky at this early hour so I used Hero Arts Safari Sunset die to cut a moon into my background.  I then inlaid the moon die cut from another background I made using Mustard Seed, Ground Espresso, Seedless Preserves, Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Sprays and some dimensional white shimmer to the clouds with a Ice White Viva Pearl Pen.   I stamped the tiny bat from Stampendous onto the moon with black pigment ink.

 To creep up the scene even more I applied the Grime pattern (Tim's layering stencil) with Black Soot Distress Ink around the edges of the entire background panel.  Then added Tim's clear Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint to all the edges and the tiny stamped bat.  I replicated the sentiment to look like Tim's Quote Chips I used on my Quirkleighs CarnEvil decor pieces.  The sentiment by Stampendous is stamped and embossed in white embossing powder onto CC black cardstock.  To make it nice and chunky I layered it up onto a few more pieces of the same cardstock then finished the edges of the sentiment and the edges of the folded base card with Midas Spectrum Noir metallic gold pigment ink.

I then die cut out one of Tim's Wildflower Stems #2, greenery from Tim's mini Holiday Greens and grass from Lawn Fawn.  The grass got a clear Rock Candy Distress Crackle paint coat and I added sparkle to the flower and greenery with an Onyx Black Spectrum Noir sparkle pen.

  

I applied Spectrum Noir Inca Gold gilding wax to the crackled background panel edges and the grass and mounted the background panel onto the card base with foam tape and glued the grass to the bottom of the panel then added the sentiment.  I added some shadow shading for the Stack o' Carved Pumpkins with a brown Prismacolor pencil then tucked them behind the grass and secured the bottom part with glue and the top pumpkin with a black pop dot to create the angled 3D effect.  I then completed my scene with the flower and greenery.
