"Egg Hunt"

Baby Balleigh Bunnies slimline card

My Spring Blog Hop finale inspiration for you today is a fun Easter card featuring my new Baby Balleigh Bunnies, Tipsy, Nibbles and BunBun, as well as the Easter Eggs and one of the senties from the Bunny Balleigh Monster set plus the clouds from the Rainbow Arch set.

 I fussy cut out the Baby Bunnies and Easter Eggs and coloured them with Prismacolor pencils.  I decided not to colour the clouds for this card.  To give the bunnies fun dimension I molded their cute little ears by curving and bending the cardstock.

I used my Silhouette Cameo 4 to cut out the slimline card elements, the folded card base and the 2 scalloped panels.  I added 3 square cuts in the top panel to make the windows.  

I also cut out 2 grass borders (Paige Evans) from 2 shades of green cardstock with my Silhouette.  Then trimmed them to size to create the layered grass scenes for each window for the Easter Eggs to hide in.

For the background I cut a piece of cardstock a bit larger than the top panel and coloured the sky with Tumbled Glass and Broken China Distress Oxide inks.  I then embellished the assembled card with my “egg hunt” senti and Crystal Stickles glitter glue and 4 tiny yellow pearlescent pearls.

Day 1
"Hoppy Easter"

I'm kicking off the Spring festivities today with an Easter slimline card featuring my new Baby Bunny Balleigh Monster border, Rainbow Arch and the "Hoppy Easter" senti from the Bunny Balleigh Monster set!

I had so much fun creating this whimsically quirky slimline card, those baby bunnies just make me giggle and they’re so perfect for slimline cards😁

 

 

I fussy cut out all the images and coloured them with Prismacolor pencils and white Dylusions paint pen highlights.  I used half of the Rainbow Arch and also fussy cut the cloud from the unused side to add to my scene.  For just a smidge of magical sparkle I dabbed Diamond Stickles glitter glue on their noses.

 

 

 I designed and cut a slimline scalloped window panel for the card front and a mat layer from a polka dot patterned cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo 4.  I also modified the Grass border by Paige Evans to fit my scene and cut out two sizes from white cardstock which I then coloured with Cracked Pistachio and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide inks then splattered with Crushed Olive Distress Oxide spray.  I then printed out my Hoppy Easter senti onto the patterned cardstock and cut a banner and mat layer which I coloured with a yellow Prismacolor pencil.  I adhered the larger grass piece to the back layer (behind the bunnies) then mounted the window frame to the back with foam tape.  Then adhered the short grass to the front of the card and mounted the baby bunnies inside the window with foam tape then added the Rainbow Arch and sentiment before mounting everything onto a folded slimline card base I made from heavy weight cardstock.

LeighSBDesigns Spring 2021 Release - Chapter 1!

Spring is nearly here and that means its time to celebrate with the launch of my new Spring 2021 digi art stamp collection🎉

 

I've been very busy designing 7 wonderful new digi stamp sets celebrating Spring, Easter and St. Patrick's Day and I'm sure you're going to love creating with my new collection!  I've got more fabulous designs to release in April too so today's release is Spring chapter 1 and then I'll launch Spring Chapter 2 in celebration of LeighSBDesigns' April Birthday...so exciting😉

 

 

All the new designs are now up at LeighSBDesigns Etsy Boutique on special release sale through March 12th midnight pacific!

 

First in the Spring Collection is my gorgeous elemental goddess called Spring Equinox.

She’s a beautiful realistic design representing the transition of the seasons from Winter into Spring.  Luxurious curls surround her enchanting face and seamlessly flow into a cascade of daffodils.  She’s surrounded by snowflakes fading beneath the warmth of the Spring sun as a large crystal snowflake melts into the rays of the sun nestled in her hair.  In the center of the “sunflake” there’s a tiny clover knot for a touch of Celtic symbolism.  Add this beauty to your collection and celebrate the Spring Equinox on March 20.

March 17th is St Patrick's Day and this quirky cute new addition to the Balleigh Monster family is a fun new leprechaun critter ready to celebrate with you!  Paddy Balleigh Monster is super cute in his top hat and sneakers as he holds up his beer in celebratory cheer with a cheeky grin on his adorable face!  The Paddy Balleigh Monster set also includes a fun cluster of clovers and two St. Patrick's Day sentiments!

The perfect companion set for the Paddy Balleigh Monster set is this Irish Blessings Clover Wreath that comes with 2 versions of the Irish Blessings sentiment!  Use this wonderful wreath frame for all your St Patrick's Day and Spring makes!
