Windows to Spring Collection Inspiration: "Just for You" Spring Easter Egg Card by Val

Bunny Balleigh Spring Easter Egg
SVG Cutz Card by Val
 
For today's inspiration LeighSBDesigner Val has an EGG-tastic Easter/Spring card featuring my new Spring Easter Egg Aperture Make-a-Card SVG Cutz set and the Spring Easter Egg Frame SVG Cutz set from the Windows to Spring Collection plus Bunny Balleigh Monster, the Spring Wildflowers Make-a-Wreath SVG Cutz mega kit and the Spring Wildflowers Decorative Digi Paper pack.
 
 
Using Silhouette Portrait 3 Val first cut the card base that has an intricate cut-in greenery design in the shape of an Easter Egg from white cardstock then using where the curved edges meet in the center as a guide she scored a fold line using a scoreboard.  She then edged the aperture window and coloured all greenery with green Distress Oxide ink.  Next she printed and cut out the adorable Bunny Balleigh Monster with an offset using Silhouette Studio's print and cut feature and coloured him up with Promarkers.  Val then decorated the top of the Easter Egg with a fabulous multi-layer paper bow from the Spring Wildflowers Make-a-Wreath SVG Cutz mega kit and coloured it in shades of green.  Next she printed out a sheet of decorative digi paper from the Spring Wildflowers Decorative Digi Paper pack and used one of the solid mat layers included in the Spring Easter Egg Frame SVG Cutz set to fussy cut out the egg shaped mat for the inside of her card.  The bow and bunny were adhered in place with foam tape and she then completed her card with the Crafter's Companion sentiments stamped in black ink.

Windows to Spring Collection SVG Cutz Tutorial: "Happy Easter" Spring Easter Egg Card by Leigh

Spring Easter Egg SVG Cutz Card

For today's inspiration I'm demonstrating how fun and easy it is to make fabulous cards from start to finish using my new Spring Easter Egg Aperture Make-a-Card SVG Cutz set from the Windows to Spring Collection.
 
 
Using my Silhouette Cameo 5 I cut the the card base that has rounded edges and an intricate cut-in foliage design in the shape of an Easter Egg from a 12 x 12 inch sheet of Crafter's Companion double sided heavy weight cardstock with a gorgeous all over floral pattern on one side and a glittered dot design on the other.  I then scored a fold line into the card base on a scoreboard where the curved edges meet in the center.
 
 
I outlined the egg aperture and covered all the greenery with Crystal Stickles Glitter glue for lots of pretty sparkle.
 
 
 The Spring Easter Egg Aperture Make-a-Card SVG Cutz set is perfect for your 12 x 12 inch paper pads that have large designs you can display through the aperture window.  I used the mat layer included in the set to cut out this wonderful nature scene for the inside of my card.

 
 I also edged the mat layer with the pretty Crystal Stickles glitter glue.  You can see the pretty glittered cardstock on the inside of the card here too.
 
 
 I adhered a sheet of acetate to the back of the card front to give the aperture more structure.
 

You could easily consider your cards finished now or take them to the next level with embellishments and sentiment die cuts.
 
 
 The aperture in the card front is off center with a slightly larger margin on the left side to allow you to add ribbon, fiber or a border like I've done here.  I used an intricate silver floral border sticker I've had in my stash forever down the left side of the card.
 
 
I then die cut out the lovely large "Happy Easter" sentiment by Diamond Press out of white cardstock with double sided adhesive on the back and adhered it to the card.
 
 
I completed my card with a smattering of pretty pink pearlescent pearls in 2 sizes.
