"Once Upon a Nightmare"

Upon a Nightmare...it's Halloween night in Furness Forest and all the creatures of the night are out in search of mischief and candy. Tree branches creak eerily and black cats purr in the darkness...listen, do you hear the siren song drifting in on the wind? It's the Witch! She's flying through the night calling you to her garden of magic to taste her enchanted candy apples....eat one if you dare...mwahahaha!
I'm back for the finale of our SPOOKtacular 31 Days of Halloween Hop+Challenge with a magical extra large card featuring Digi Stamps and SVG Cutz from my new Once Upon a Nightmare Collection!
Hocus Pocus is my favourite magical Halloween movie and I just love Sarah's BOOtiful song so I made an extra large card using the Come Little Children and Saying set. I made an Oxide spray mixed media sheet using Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber with a dash of Jack-o-Lantern Mica Stain and printed a faint version of the Furness Forest Winter Treescape and the Come Little Children saying onto it. I then used the Fern Frame to create the card in the shape of a magic mirror.
At the top of my magic mirror is the faBOOlous Poison Apple Colourize It SVG Cutz. For the poison top layer I made a Distress Oxide spray mixed media
cardstock sheet using Squeezed Lemonade, Peeled Paint and Speckled Egg
with a dash of Bubbling Cauldron Mica stain. I created a text collage
using the senti "I Put a Spell on You" included in the Wicked Witch Robed Hand and Senti set
and printed it out onto the Oxide sheet and cut the top layer for the
apple, the leaf and the Fern Frame out of it. I then made an Oxide
spray sheet using Candied Apple, Fossilized Amber and speckles of Wilted
Violet and cut the red apple layer and the leaf out of it.
I then cut the eye drips and the apple twig and the large card frame out of Crafter's Companion purple glitter card and the Poison Apple base from black cardstock. I then edged all the cut elements with Black Soot Distress ink applied gold Sprectrum Noir sparkle to the eye and nose area on the black panel and red sparkle to the apple piece and assembled the Poisoned Apple. Everything was glued in place except the poison top layer where I used black foam tape. I also used the foam tape to adhere the whole Poison Apple to the top of the card for lots of yummy dimension.
I tucked in one of Tim's Halloween token charms that says Hocus Pocus next to the apple with black foam tape. Of course I put Silhouette glow-in-the-dark sticker paper behind all the eyes of the Bats from the Gothic Nightmare Catcher SVG Cutz.
I cut the Wicked Witch SVG Cutz and the Bats from black cardstock and printed out some more of my digi coloured Candy Bat digi stamps and fussy cut those out. The smaller Candy Bat is popped up on black foam tape too.
The bottom of the mirror is decorated with the group of children from the Come Little Children and Saying set which I fussy cut out, 2 of the kitties from the Black Cat Silhouettes Layered SVG Cutz and the Fae Folk Silhouettes Layered SVG Cutz all cut from black cardstock.
I also used the Once Upon a Nightmare senti from the A Wicked Compendium of Halloween Sayings and printed it onto more of the green coloured Oxide cardstock as well as the top layer of the Poison Drips Border Layered SVG Cutz and the mat layer cut from black cardstock. All the cut pieces were edged with Black Soot Distress ink too.
I added gold Spectrum Noir glitter sparkle pen to the Jinx kitty to make him stand out against the
Wicked Witch silhouette and the 3 dwarfs leaving the lantern matte black. I also added some gold sparkle to the edges of the Once Upon a Nightmare senti.

The Bats got GITD sticker paper eyes.
The Candy Bats got GITD acrylic paint eyes.
And the dwarf's lantern also got GITD acrylic paint for an eerie glow!
