"Serene Reflections"

I'm back for the finale of our Edgar Allan Poe CREATivities today with a beautiful reflections Raven Tree scene featuring my new Raven Tree Slimline Silhouette digi stamp, a saying from my Conspiracy of Ravens digi set and one of my gorgeous digi decorative papers from the Vintage Grunge Decorative Digi Paper pack.
I intended a beautiful serene scene but I guess my mind was on the wildfires as I created this one and it seems more apocalyptic with the tree and ravens silhouetted against a fiery hellscape 😧 The human suffering is bad enough but it's the devastation to nature and all the animals that is just so heart wrenching 😧
I designed my scene in Photoshop by layering the Raven Tree Slimline Silhouette digi stamp onto the decorative digi paper from the Vintage Grunge Decorative Digi Paper pack and then added the mirror image of the tree to create the reflection. I then printed it out and trimmed it to make my slimline panel.
I then applied Bronze Spectrum Noir Midas pigment ink to the edges of the top panel and mounted it onto a black cardstock mat. Next I cut mats from rust brown and a brownish grey textured cardstock that picked up on the various brown hues in my decorative digi paper and edged those with the bronze metallic pigment ink too for an elegant distressed look.
Next I cut my last black mat to 4 x 9 inches and adhered the 2 brown mats to it with glue and then mounted the main panel to them with black foam tape strips to add dimension.
The "Conspiracy of Ravens" saying is one of the two sayings included in my Conspiracy of Ravens digi set. I changed the colour of the text in Photoshop from black to white and added the black background and printed it out in a various sizes. I used one size on yesterday's make and a smaller size for today's make and the rest went in my stash for future makes.
Next I mounted the saying onto 5 layers of heavy weight black cardstock to create a nice chunky piece.
I then applied Bronze Spectrum Noir Midas pigment ink to the edges and adhered it to my make with glue.
