For the finale of our January 2022 Challenge #1 SNOW or POE LeighSBDesigner Val is here with her totally POEtastic POE BOOK featuring designs from my collection of Poe themed digi stamps and my new Edgar Allan Poe SVG Cutz 2022 release!

To create her handsome POE BOOK Val used her Silhouette Portrait 3 to cut out all the elements included in the POE Book Make-a-Book SVG Cutz set and the wonderful "O" from the "POE" Raven and Classic Font Word SVG Cutz set.

Val decorated the "P" letter page with a Poe portrait from the Edgar Allan Poe and Signature set with the Signature used to create the background and Poe centered beautifully inside the Fern Frame!  To create the background Val used Wild Honey and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks.

The "O" letter page is decorated with Distressed Raven Nevermore and the "O" from the "POE" Raven and Classic Font Word SVG Cutz set.

Val decorated her "E" letter page with Oddleigh The Raven and the Poe Signature with Quill.  She coloured the Raven with Tri-Blend markers and added white gel pen details to the quill.

Val then punched binder holes into each page and assembled her POE BOOK with black eyelash fiber.

Challenge #1 SNOW or POE: 3 Poe makes by Val!

❄️ Happy 2022 Creative Friends ❄️ 

Our first challenge of 2022 ends tomorrow but there's still time to come and play in

Challenge #1 SNOW or POE (or both) HERE!

 

 

LeighSBDesigner Val is here today with a ton of inspirational makes for the 2nd to last day of our January Challenge #1 SNOW or POE featuring designs from my collection of Poe themed digi stamps and my new Edgar Allan Poe SVG Cutz 2022 release!

First up here's another page out of Val's POE themed art journal.

To create this handsome page Val used my Poe portrait from the Edgar Allan Poe and Signature set with the Signature used to create the background as well as the label and Poe centered beautifully inside the Fern Frame!  To create the background Val used Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide ink, alcohol markers to colour Poe's skin and a white gel pen for detailing.  She then embellished the corners with a Gemini corner die cut from black cardstock and mounted everything onto Hobby Craft Smooth white card and finally onto the black page inside her art journal. 

For her second make Val created another gorgeous Raven Gothic Window easel card and this one is embellished with Pine Bough greenery from my Christmas Tree Charms Lace SVG Cutz set and the magnificent Gothic Raven SVG Cutz set.

Val used her Silhouette Portrait 3 to cut the Raven Gothic Window, Gothic Raven and Pine Bough elements from black cardstock, Hobby Craft Mixture of Ombré cardstocks and the Pine Bough from white cardstock which she then coloured green with Spectrum Tri-Blend markers and the Gothic Raven's eye and beak pieces with red and orange.

She then completed her easel card with Tim's clear Distress Rock Candy Glitter and an easel stand made from heavy weight black cardstock.

Val's final inspirational piece for today is a handsome 3D Poe Box done in classic black and white!

 

This handsome box features designs from my collection of Poe themed digi stamps.

LeighSBDesigner Val has gorgeous slimline SNOW themed inspirational make for our January Challenge #1 SNOW or POE featuring designs from my "A Charming Christmas" Winter 2021 Collection of Digi Stamps and SVG Cutz❄️

Val created this beauty with the Winter Snowman Rectangle Lace SVG Cutz set and the Snowman Hugs senti included in the A Charming Christmas Compendium of Festive Sayings - Digi Stamp set❄️ 

 

Val used Hobby Craft Smooth white cardstock to cut the Winter Snowman lace overlay and the matching mat layer from pale blue cardstock on her Silhouette Portrait 3 electronic cutting machine.  She then added lots of pretty sparkle to the mat layer with Tim Holtz Distress Clear Rock Candy Glitter and added created fluffy white snowballs with Pinflair Snow Dust and paper pieced the snowman’s hat which she covered in blue flocking.  Val coloured the snowman’s eyes, nose and rock button pieces with Sharpie markers and then mounted everything onto blue cardstock and finished with a white folded card.  Val printed the Snowman Hugs senti out onto ombré cardstock, fussy cut it out and attached to the card front with a pop dot.

The Winter Raven - Card by Guest Designer Tee!

Tee is joining us today as Guest Designer with her POEtastic inspirational card for our January Challenge SNOW or POE❄️

 

Tee used the Winter Raven for her card which she coloured with Caliart markers.  She then used Distress Ink on the sky background and gray pencil to create shadowing.  Tee used Nuvo Crystal Drops and a white gel pen on the wings to highlight and add sparkle and also used the gel pen to add detail to the flowers.  She matted the Winter Raven panel onto black cardstock and then a white folded card base.

"Let it Snow"

Snowman SVG Cutz

Today I'm sharing a SNOW themed inspirational make for our January Challenge #1 SNOW or POE featuring designs from my "A Charming Christmas" Winter 2021 Collection of Digi Stamps and SVG Cutz❄️

I made a wonderful whimsical snowman card using the "Let it Snow" Snowman Lace SVG Cutz❄️

 

  

The "Let it Snow" Snowman Lace SVG Cutz set lets you create wonderful intricate cards quickly and easily!

 

 

I used my Silhouette Cameo 4 electronic cutting machine to cut out the "Let it Snow" Snowman lace overlay design.

I then cut the matching mat layer included in the set from Scrapbook.com's silver glitter paper.

 

 

I then designed a 6 x 6 inch folded square card base in Silhouette Studio with a 5.5 x 5.5 inch mat which I cut from Crafter's Companion heavy weight white cardstock and a sheet from their Glittering Snowflakes cardstock pad.

 

 

I then completed my whimsical Snow card by adding Crystal Stickles glitter glue to the edges of the mat layer and the folded card.
