🎃 Dust off your Halloween supplies and get your spook on with us for 5 whole days of hopping fun!  The hop begins Saturday May 27th with the linky party below open for entries at 8am pacific.  

🎃 Halloween will be here before you can shriek with delight so get a jump on your Halloween crafting and let the countdown begin!  Prizes are based on participation so the more you play the better the prize so get your friends to join the creativities, no sign-up required.  Help promote the hop by displaying the Hop Badge in your sidebars🎃

MERMAIDS SVG Cutz Book

For today's finale of Something Wicked This Way Comes I'm showing off my completed MERMAIDS Half-o-Ween Book plus the last page you haven't seen yet ... all featuring my new FantaSea digi stamps and SVG Cutz collection🧜🏻🎃  

 

I made the book with my MERMAIDS Letter Page Circle Make-a-Book SVG Cutz kit for electronic cutting machines! 

 

First a look through all the individual pages!

 

Cleopatra Oddleigh Mermaid, pumpkin - Vampire Balleigh Monster set, "Happy Haunting" senti - Once Upon a Nightmare A Wicked Compendium of Halloween Sayings.

Bastet CatFish FantaSea Pet and "So Wickedly Cute" senti - Once Upon a Nightmare Sleeping Batleigh Bats and Senti set.

Anubis DogFish FantaSea Pet, pumpkins - Vampire Balleigh Monster set and "Too Cute to Spook" senti - Batleigh Bats set.

Poseidon Balleigh MerMonster, Shrimpie FantaSea Pet - Neptune Balleigh MerMonster and Senti set, pumpkin - Vampire Balleigh Monster set and "scared yet?" senti - Ghost Balleigh Monster set.

Pearl Balleigh MerMonster and "Trick or Treat" senti - Once Upon a Nightmare Candy Bats set.

🎃 Now for the last page 🎃

 

The "S" page features the FantaSeaScape with some digital trickery!  Before printing out the seascape I took the pumpkin from the Vampire Balleigh Monster set and did some digital masking!  I placed 3 pumpkins in different sizes over the top of the pearls and then printed.  You can get the same effect by fussy cutting out pumpkins after printing and simply adhering them over the pearls too!  

 

 

 Shrimpie FantaSea Pet is guarding Pearl and Coral's treasure!

 

 

The "Dive Deep for the Treasure You Seek senti is included in the Coral Balleigh MerMonster and Senti set. 

 

Each page of my book is decorated with the “Mermaid Scales” Layered Circle SVG Cutz with the scales cut from orange and purple cardstock and grunged up with Black Soot Distress Ink and Waterfall Stickles glitter applied to the circle edges. 

 

  All the senties are print and cut jobs using my Silhouette Cameo 4 and grunged with Black Soot Distress ink.  All the pages are decorated with Artsy Stems by Tim Holtz coloured with Distress Oxide sprays.  The large spiderwebs are a Cheery Lynn die cut from black cardstock and painted with Spectrum Noir Candlelight Sparkle glitter ink.  I also decorated all the pages with bats from Tim's Mixed Media Halloween and Bat Crazy die sets.  I painted the page letter "S" with a Spectrum Noir gold sparkle brush pen then completed the page with self adhesive pearlescent pearls in 3 sizes and colours.

 

 

 Now for the finished MERMAIDS book!

 

 

With all the dimension the pages are nice and chunky so I decided to bind the book with a metal O ring and punched 1/8" holes on the left side of each page.

 Tip:

You can decide if your letters appear along the top like this or change the orientation and have the letters running down the right side of the book!

 

 

PLUS

You can spell out other words and make different themed books too!

How many different words can you make using some or all of the letters in MERMAIDS?

Go!

 

 

TIP:

If you use a ring to bind your book and want it to stand up on it's own then I suggest cutting off a bit of the circle at the bottom of each page to give the book a flat edge to stand on!

 

 

I then decided to use a smaller O ring and switched out the silver ring for a fun smaller red one!  I've got the back of each page begging to be decorated too so will go back to the bigger ring when the book gets chunkier!

My FantaSea digi stamps and SVG Cutz collection are center stage for this year's Half-o-ween Blog Hop in my Halloween themed MERMAIDS Letter Page Circle Make-a-Book SVG Cutz Book🧜🏻‍♀️  

 

 

So far you've seen these pages:

 "M" page features Cleopatra Oddleigh Mermaid, the pumpkin from the Vampire Balleigh Monster set, the "Happy Haunting" senti from the Once Upon a Nightmare A Wicked Compendium of Halloween Sayings.

"E" page features Bastet CatFish FantaSea Pet and the "So Wickedly Cute" senti from the Once Upon a Nightmare Sleeping Batleigh Bats and Senti set.

 I used the FantaSea “Mermaid Scales” Layered Circle SVG Cutz set for all the backgrounds.

 

Today I'm sharing the "I" and "D" pages from my Half-o-ween MERMAIDS Book.  

 

 

The regal Roman god of the sea, Neptune Balleigh MerMonster, is the quirky handsome MerMonster on the "I" page.  

 

 

 Neptune is enjoy fright night next to his grinning jack-o-lantern on this page!

 The pumpkin and "fright night" senti are from the Vampire Balleigh Monster set.

 

 

On the "D" page Coral Balleigh MerMonster was happily swimming around hugging her prized possession when she suddenly spotted 3 grinning jack-o-lanterns and fell instantly under their spell!

 

 

The "Hocus Pocus" senti is from the Once Upon a Nightmare A Wicked Compendium of Halloween Sayings.  All the senties are print and cut jobs using my Silhouette Cameo 4 and grunged with Black Soot Distress ink.

 

 

The pumpkins are from the Vampire Balleigh Monster set.

Remembering Ike

Today I want to remember Ike, Sue EisenHauer, who sadly passed away at the end of April😔  I met Ike when I first discovered Smeared Ink way back in 2011 and we became friends through our love of cats, Edgar Allan Poe and Halloween and then later as fellow digi stamp designers.  Ike sponsored prizes and played in many of LeighSBDesigns blog hops and I know she is busy happily crafting in Heaven right now so I wanted to re-share some of Ike's makes today❤️
