My Summer BUZZ Blog Hop inspiration for you today is a magical octagonal window card featuring my new Oddleigh BEE set, Busy Bees set, Honeybees set and the Enchanted Garden Windflower Cottage🐝

Oddleigh BEE is happily buzzing around her lovely Enchanted Garden Windflower Cottage on a warm summer day.

I coloured Oddleigh BEE and the BEE and flowers from the Busy Bees set with Prismacolor pencils.

I painted the Enchanted Garden Windflower Cottage with a combination of watercolour pencils, Distress Oxide inks and Prismacolor pencils.  I then used a white gel pen and a white Dylusions paint pen to add details and highlights to everything.

I added lots of magical shimmer to Oddleigh BEE, the BEE and flowers elements fussy cut from the Busy Bees set and the Enchanted Garden Windflower Cottage with a Spectrum Noir clear sparkle pen...

...and pretty 3D sparkle to Oddleigh Bee's wings and antennae, the single Bee's wings, Flower centers and various details to the Enchanted Garden Windflower Cottage scene.

I love making octagonal cards, which are perfect for BEE themed projects, with my Lifestyle Crafts large set of nesting octagonal dies.  I used them to create the window card frame and folded card base and then hand cut the yellow mat for a peek of colour inside the window frame.  I used foam tape to mount the window card to the base card and pop dots to add all the fussy cut elements to the card for a fun multi-dimensional effect.  I used the "Have a BEE-utiful Summer!" sentiment from the Honeybees set to complete my fun window card.

torn tags pyramage card by Leigh

My Summer BUZZ Blog Hop inspiration for you today is a colourful stacked torn tags card featuring my new Busy Bees set🐝

The fun focal design of my torn tags pyramage card is coloured with Prismacolor pencils and the tag edged with Wild Honey and Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide Inks.  I used magic transparent Viva Pearl pen to add dimensional shimmery shine to the bee wings and flower centers.

I printed the Busy Bees collage out in 3 different sizes and used Tim's Stacked Tags dies to die cut them out then tore the bottom edge of each tag.

I used Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey and Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide Inks to colour the largest tag with foam ink applicators and added Ripe Persimmon paint brush splatters.  For the medium tag I used Tumbled Glass, Broken china and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Inks and Mermaid Lagoon for the splatters.

For lots of pretty sparkle I added Crystal Stickles glitter glue to the flower centers on the 2 larger tags and then edged all 3 tags.

I made a folded card from heavy weight white cardstock and cut the top edge to mirror the tag shape and layered all the tags and the "Busy Bees!" sentiment to the card with pop dots for a fun 3D pyramage look!

"Summer Wishes" A Third Coast project plus Check out the Anything Goes Challenge at our Third Coast Creative Challenge Blog!

Hello Everyone!

I hope you're all having a fabulous week and enjoying your summer vacations!!

As Challenge Coordinator I'm hosting a new challenge over at Third Coast Rubber Stamps brand new blog and you're all invited to come and play with me ;0)  TCCC#2 starts August 1st and its a fan favourite, an Anything Goes challenge!  Which means the theme is open to whatever your heart desires...however, I did throw in a twist ;0)  You must use the colour Yellow in some way, whether it be incorporated into your coloured images or you use yellow cardstock or flowers or ribbon...you get the idea!

 I was inspired by all the glorious warm weather we are having...aahhhh...to create this sun drenched, summer party time card to get you all in the mood for creating with YELLOW!
