Egyptian Wonder "Make a Wish" Papyrus Pyramid Birthday card by Leigh!

My inspirational make for you today is an elegant birthday card that features elements from both the Egyptian Wonder and FantaSea Collections!

 

 

 To make this majestic card I used the fabulous Papyrus Pyramid CardMake-a-Card SVG Cutz set, the Hieroglyphics Background and the mischievous Bastet CatFish FantaSea Pet. 

 

 

I cut the Papyrus lace overlay from black cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo 4 electronic cutting machine.

I covered the lace overlay with iCraft Deco Foil liquid adhesive and applied Deco Foil for a luscious gold distressed effect where some black still shows through all the pretty gold.

 

 

I printed out my digitally coloured Hieroglyphics Background and cut the matching mat layer included in the Papyrus Pyramid CardMake-a-Card SVG Cutz set.

 

 

I then cut the pyramid folded base card also included in the Papyrus Pyramid CardMake-a-Card SVG Cutz set from heavy weight black cardstock and assembled the pyramid shaped card by layering up all the elements.

I then embellished the front of my card with the mischievous Bastet CatFish FantaSea Pet and the "Make a Wish" sentiment is from Tim Holtz Idealogy Metallic Sticker book. 

 

 

I decorated the inside of the card with the "Have a FINtastic" senti included in the Anubis DogFish FantaSea Pet and Senti set which I die cut out and edged with a metallic gold pen.

Birthday Celebrations Blog Hop: Daffodil Trellis Pyramage Tag by Leigh!

I hope everyone is continuing to stay strong, healthy and happy as can be during this terrible time😘

My inspiration for today is Spring themed with a grungy vibe featuring Daffodil Trellis🌼
I had so much fun making my striking pyramage project!

Pyramage is a fun technique that involves stacking the same image multiple times in decreasing layers to create a pyramid.  I printed out Daffodil Trellis 3 times and used Stacked Tags dies by Tim Holtz to die cut out each layer.

I coloured each layer with Prismacolor Pencils and grunged them with Tea Dye Distress Ink and applied Black Soot Distress Ink to all the edges.  I mounted each tag onto heavy weight black cardstock and trimmed leaving narrow borders.  Then layered each tag on top of each other using black foam tape.  I also grunged up yellow ribbon and tucked it in between layers.

My love for cats goes hand in hand with my passion for all things Egyptian so today I have a pyramid shaped card for you featuring 3 of my Egyptian themed designs, Cleo Egyptian Cat, Horus Egyptian Cat and Anubis Bust😻

 🙀Beware the Curse of Bastet🙀

Anubis is waiting to gather the souls of any non-CAT worshipers who dare to enter Bastet's tomb😸

Lots of mixed media action on the pyramid with rubber stamped cracks and hieroglyphs, coloured with Distress Oxide inks and Distress Crackle Paint clear rock candy crazing antiqued in black.

Cleo Egyptian Cat

Cleo and Horus are coloured with Copics.

Horus Egyptian Cat

The Egyptian cats are fussy cut out and adhered to the pyramid card with clear 3D foam.
 

 I typed up "Beware the Curse of Bastet", cut out the words and coloured with Distress Oxides.

Neo inspected this one in detail and gave it his seal of aPURRoval😻

Scully insisted on having a look at Anubis too👻
