I hope everyone is continuing to keep healthy during this terrible time!  I’m still experiencing some mild symptoms but thankfully doing okay compared to the horrible symptoms others are struggling with😖. For your inspiration today I'm sharing the fun 13th Birthday bridge card I recently made for nephew🥳

I used the Yeti from the Winter Yeti Build-a-Scene set and the Sign Post from the Yeti Senti Add-On Pack as well as the Candles from the Oddleigh Cupcake set!  Shop for those in LeighSBDesigns SALE-bration through April 12th🥳

I made a long border using my Candles digi multiple times to create the bridge for the card and coloured all my images with Copics and fussy cut them out.



The “Make a Wish” stamp is by Crafter’s Companion and I masked and stamped it to stack the words onto my sign post.

Lots of sparkle was a must so I used Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen on the images as well as Diamond Stickles glitter glue on the candles and the Party Hat Star.

I also fussy cut an extra Party Hat from the Yeti Senti Build-a-Scene add-on pack and layered it with a pop dot for extra dimension!

The “13 Balloon Numbers” are stamps and matching dies also from Crafter’s Companion.

I created an extra layer bridge inside the card for the Yeti to stand on.

The entire card was constructed from heavy weight white cardstock and embossed with a Happy Birthday Cuttlebug embossing folder.

I applied Peacock Feathers Distress Ink to the card edges.

I made a top fold card for the back of my bridge card as a place to put my card message.

I printed my Birthday message onto teal cardstock.

The fun part of this dimensional bridge card is that it still folds flat for easy mailing in a regular sized envelope!

Birthday Bunny card by Val!

We're busy celebrating LeighSBDesigns Art Stamps 2nd Birthday this month and LeighSBDesigner Val has a fabulous card to inspire you today!

Val used my new Birthday Bunny FREEBIE to create this stunning card.  I love how she coloured him up in shades of grey and then fussy cut him out and popped him out over the top of the card.  The large sentiment stamped in the center on the fun background done with Distress Oxides makes a bold statement and the shrink plastic flowers are the perfect finishing touch to this fun birthday card!

Oddleigh Cupcake pop-up Birthday card by Leigh!

Season’s Greetings Creative Friends!
LeighSBDesigner Val is celebrating a very special milestone birthday today🎉
I’m so proud and very lucky to have such a wonderful Mom😘. Wishing you the happiest of Birthdays full of joy, love and lots of hugs❤️

I made this pop-up Birthday card for my Mom featuring lil miss Oddleigh Cupcake and the matching  Cupcake from the Oddleigh Cupcake set.

 Here's the front of the card showing my Cupcakes piled onto a die cut cake stand.  I constructed the matching wedge shaped box envelope completely from scratch to perfectly fit the shape of the card while closed.

The magic happens when you open the card and reveal the 3D scene with a tiered pop-up Birthday cake on a the same cake stand I used on the front of the card.  The dimensional birthday cake dies, embellishment dies and decorative cardstock are all from Crafter’s Companion.

lil miss Oddleigh Cupcake is stunning in her colour cordinating finery, cupcake fascinator and a die cut gold star earring!   Isn't she the cutest!

There's an extra cupcake for even more wish making too🌟

You can never have too many cupcakes🎂

Tutorial Tuesdays: Oddleigh Cupcake Time-lapse Copic Colouring and 'Make A Wish' Card by Leigh!

For today's Tutorial Tuesday I've got a time-lapse Copic colouring video of Oddleigh Cupcake and then a tutorial showing you how I made my super cute "Make a Wish" card featuring her and the rest of the images included in the Oddleigh Cupcake set.  The Oddleigh Cupcake set is one of my new April releases and is available at a special intro price!  Offer ends at midnight pacific on April 8th!

Now for my "Make a Wish" card featuring her and the other 2 designs that come in the Oddleigh Cupcake set, the Candles and Cupcake!

 Print out Oddleigh Cupcake and the separate Cupcake digi onto Neenah solar white cardstock and colour with Copics.  I used the following colours:
Y13, 15 and 17
E000, 00, 01, 02 and 04
BV 000, 01, 02, 04
V12, 15 and 17
BG 00, 01, 02, 04, 07 and 17
R20, 22, 24, 27 and 29
Colourless Blender 0

Add white highlights with a Ranger gel pen.  Fussy cut out both images, mat onto black cardstock and fussy cut again leaving a narrow black border.  I love doing this image matting technique coz it really makes the images pop and helps strengthen any flimsy bits too.

 Add lots of yummy sparkle with clear Wink of Stella.  I blinged up the frosting and candle flames on both cupcakes, her lips, hair ribbon and bow, the kitty face on her bodice and the bows on her shoes.  Then apply Violet Transparent glossy gel to the pearls on the cupcake with a Viva Pearl pen to give them a lovely shimmery 3D effect.

 Now for the card.  I designed a decorative background in Photoshop using the Candles border.  I created 3 rows with the center row of Candles larger than the other two and printed out onto yellow cardstock cut to 4 x 6 inches.

Lay down the Tim Holz Gothic Layering Stencil at an angle on the left side of the panel and apply Blue Sapphire Sparkle Medium with a palette knife.  Carefully remove the stencil and add a bit of the same design to the right hand side too.  It dries pretty quickly but you can speed up the dry time with a heat tool.

Love the blue sparkly dimensional design with the yellow cardstock.

While waiting for the sparkle medium to dry make a 4 x 6 inch folded card base from white cardstock and adhere a panel of the same black cardstock used to mat the images onto the back of the card.  The black panel finishes the back of the card nicely as it blends into the back view of Oddleigh Cupcake coz she sticks out above the fold.  You can make the card base with black cardstock instead and then just add a white panel inside of the card for your sentiment and personal message.

Type up the "Make a Wish" sentiment and print it out.  Cut out each word,  mat onto black cardstock and trim leaving a narrow border.  Apply clear of Wink of Stella to the black border of each word and also add Wink of Stella to the candle flames on the background for even more sparkle magic.

Adhere all the images to the card base.  I love extending images out beyond the fold, it adds a fun WOW factor to cards and makes them even more special I think!
