Meri Oddleigh Mermaid and Friends

Meri Oddleigh is a super cute whimsically quirky Mermaid with curly pig tails and gorgeous fins and tail and a member of my "big head big eyes" Oddleigh family of quirky characters.  She sits prettily upon her Art Nouvea styled mother-of-pearl seat watching her friends, the happy Turtle, the cute little Fishie and the lovely Starfish play in the ocean bubbles.  This fun set also includes the "MerMazing just the Way You are!" senti.  You'll have so much fun creating mermaid and ocean themed makes for years to come with this mermazing set 🧜🏻‍♀️

Today LeighSBDesigner Val has a FINtastic ocean themed shaker card to inspire you featuring the Meri Oddleigh Mermaid and Friends set, Ocean Scenery set, FantaSea Senties set and Decorative Digi Paper Packs from my new MERMAZE Collection!

 

To create her FINtastic shaker card Val printed out two Decorative Digi Paper designs from my new Blue Lagoon Decorative Digi Paper Pack and used them to create the layered background panels of her card.  Val created the adorable mini "sea world" scene in her shaker element by printing out a sheet of the decorative digi paper with the "Bubbles" from the Ocean Scenery set and the "Fishie" and "Turtle" friends from the Meri Oddleigh Mermaid and Friends set set overlaid onto the digi paper prior to printing.  She then coloured the scene with Promarkers.  She made the shaker element with Sizzix Jar Framelit dies, a sheet of acetate and then filled it with clear gems.  Val then completed her card with the "Be Beautiful and Free just like the Sea" senti included in the FantaSea Senties set.

Matchbook card by Val 

 

LeighSBDesigner Val’s Bubbly Depths Blog Hop inspiration for you today is a MER-MAZING matchbook card featuring all the FINtastic designs in my Mermaid Collection🧜🏻‍♀️

 

 

Val created a matchbook shaped pocket card and decorated the front with Meri Oddleigh Mermaid and greenery from the Ocean Scenery set.

 

Val decorated the inside of her matchbook pocket card with Meri Oddleigh Mermaid and used the MerMazing sentiment included in the Meri Oddleigh Mermaid and Friends set on the pocket flap then stuffed the pocket with oval shaped tags with scalloped edges that look like mermaid scales.  The 2 small tags feature the "friends" included in the Meri Oddleigh Mermaid and Friends set and the 2 big tags feature MerMae and MerWitch.

 

 To create this FIN-tastic make Val used the following:

 

 

Sprectrum Noir Tri-blend markers:

Fair Skin, Emerald, Aquamarine, Golden, Waterfall, Mint Blue, Coral, Deep Purple 

Ranger Stickles - Crystal 

Hobby Craft Pastels cardstock
