💀 Reaper Rising 💀

My Day 25 of 31 Days of Halloween Hop inspiration for you today is a creepy dark magic scene featuring Reaper, Zella and Zylah Shadow Faeries🎃

 

 The witching hour draws near and the Shadow Faeries are busy conjuring their dark master!

Here he comes, the Reaper is Rising, surrounded by mystic fire!

I coloured the Reaper with Copics and fussy cut him out and printed the Shadow Faeries and a couple of the Reaper’s bats out onto mixed media cardstock I coloured with Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain and Wild Honey Distress Oxide sprays.  I love the rusted metal look to the background and die cuts.  I then painted a halo with lightning around the Reaper with glow-in-the-dark paint.

I used mixed media cardstock left over from previous projects to cut out Tim’s Funky Foliage and Twisted Edge die cuts.  To give the die cut pieces a chunkier feel I also cut them out of heavy weight black cardstock and layered them..

 

 To frame the scene I added Tim’s mini twisted stencil detailing around 3 sides with Black Soot Distress Ink.  I  also edged all the die cuts with Black Soot then glued them to the bottom edge.  I adhered the panel to a folded base made from heavy weight cardstock and finished by adhering the Reaper in place with black foam tape.

💀 Spirits Fly - Zella Shadow Faerie💀

My Day 11 of 31 Days of Halloween Hop inspiration for you today is another creeptastic glow-in-the-dark slimline card, this one features Zella Shadow Faerie from my SPOOKtember 2020 release!

Zella Shadow Faerie is looking totally wicked with her glowing eyes flying around on a moonless night back lit by the large "Spirits Fly" glow-in-the-dark sentiment.

 I printed Zella Shadow Faerie out extra large and fussy cut her out.  I applied Spectrum Noir Sparkle Onyx Black glitter to her entire body for lots of yummy sparkle and coloured her tattered wings with cool grey Copics.

 

I used Black Soot and Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide Sprays, Black Soot and Tarnished Pewter Distress Spray Stains to create the "night sky" background panel on mixed media cardstock and cut out the "Spirits Fly" portion of a Silhouette Studio Store "Witches Gather Vinyl Plaque" saying by Snapdragon Snippets.  For the acid green background panel I used Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint and Crushed Olive Distress Oxide Sprays and applied glow-in-the-dark Delta Ceramcoat paint to the entire panel in a distressed fashion.  

 

 

 For Zella's eyes I used The Art Institute's glow-in-the-dark glitter applied with tacky glue.

I made a folded slimline aka tall and skinny card base from Crafter's Companion heavy weight black cardstock and adhered the 2 panels to the base with glue and then mounted Zella to the front with black foam tape to give the effect that she's flying.  BEWARE...both Zella and Zylah are now out there flying around in the dark...mwahahahahaha🎃
