 Meet Horus the Egyptian Cat, the 2nd in my Fantasy Felines series!  He's a regal fantasy line art design of an Egyptian inspired cat adorned with a depiction of Horus surrounded by hieroglyphs.  He's the PURRfect companion for Cleo Egyptian Cat and a must for Egyptian and cat lovers😺

So far you've seen some of my whimsical and more quirky designs and today I'm now introducing you to one of my Fantasy Felines.  I've loved everything to do with Egypt my entire life and adored cats equally as long so of course I love to combine these two passions in my designs😋

 Today's new release is a gorgeous Fantasy Feline called Cleo the Egyptian Cat.  She's a beautiful and regal fantasy line art design of an Egyptian inspired cat adorned with hieroglyphs😻

I used Copics and Prismacolor pencils to colour everthing except the background which is done with Derwent Pastel pencils and a Dove Blender pen.

"Coralyne and the Dragon" - Forever Dark DT project for Challenge #1

Woohoo, the big day is here!  Our Forever Dark Challenges launch today!  Yeah Yeah!

Everybody has a Dark Side and whether you indulge it daily or occasionally let it out to play, or you've never dared to go dark before but want to give it a try then Forever Dark welcomes you, just leave the cute at the door please ;0)  Our challenges are monthly and start on Tuesdays at 9am UK time so do stop by and check us out!  I and my fellow teamies look forward to seeing your dark and twisted creations!

 I've got two Forever Dark DT projects featuring digi stamps by both sponsors and I'll be sharing one today and the 2nd tomorrow.

Up first is a fantasy card I made using digi stamps by ArtiDoodles.
Celtic Dragon Frame and  Corvus Coralyne

  I made this aperture card by printing out the dragon on a sheet of white cardstock, folded it in half to form the card and cut out the center of the frame.  Coralyne was also printed and I cut out just the portion I wanted seen in the frame.  All the images were coloured with Copics and the backgrounds treated with Fired Brick and Black Soot Distress Inks.  The design on the Celtic frame, the dragon's spikes and claws and Coralyne's jewelry all have metallic silver detailing.  I used Cheery Lynne's Spiderweb die cut in black cardstock to decorate the two corners and the inside of the card.  Now for the magic part....stand the card open and put a flameless votive candle behind it and the whole card comes to life with a magical glow!

'Melia Amulet' Bendomino Necklace Published in Altered Arts Magazine...a 3rd Coast Creative Coterie project!

Happy Friday Everyone!

I'm very pleased to finally be able to share my altered bendomino necklace that was published in Altered Arts Winter 2011-12 issue with you all and also share the news that I'm on Third Coast Rubber Stamps Creative Coterie again this year, woohoo ;0)

"A View From A Window" Fantasy Art Card featuring Lost Coast Designs Border Stamps!

Happy Friday 13th!

 Not quite the view from a window you were expecting to see is it ;0)  It's raining buckets outside today so I changed my plans and decided to stay indoors to continue with my Atlantian fantasy story....

LSBD Log:  Day 42 - We are still finding so many wonderful treasures down here but today I discovered the best treasure of all!  I found a chamber with a phenomenal view overlooking the sunken city of Atlantis...

The Blockheads Design Team is playing with ideas for using border stamps and I've been having a ball with the borders by Lost Coast Designs!   My first project 'Portal To Atlantis' features the Iris Fold technique, my second project 'Codex Atlanticus' demonstrates using the border strips to make a basket weave and a border background collage and my third...wait for it...using the border stamps themselves to create a basket weave.  Alas, due to some time constraints I didn't get my 'tight basket weave' project completed in time for today but I was able to get this one with a loose weave design ready instead!

I used the following Lost Coast Designs border stamps on my fantasy art card:
Tear Drops (top right), Spiral (bottom left) and Wave (bottom right) to create the loose weave... looks like the ruins of the city of Atlantis don't you think!  Blockheads' Fish image from the Seascape - Fishes set and Inky sentiment from my favourite full sheet of Verses completed my card!
