Today is the big finale of our 14th annual 31 Days of Halloween SPOOKtivities already!
Thank you for joining us for a SPOOKtacular month, we hope our Halloween makes have brought you lots of shrieks, thrills and plenty of inspiration!  A big THANK YOU to Val for all your SPOOKtacular makes this month and to everyone who played along with us in our Halloween Haunt Hop, all your Halloween makes have been a thrill to see!

 

The fun isn't over yet, you have until the strike of 5 minutes to midnight pacific to get in your Day 31 makes!  I will begin my final tally of entries and comments bright and early on Nov 3!  Please double check your comments spam and moderation folders to ensure all comments are published and complete your hopping and commenting before then to be in the running for the prize!

  What a SPOOKtacular month we have had and what a thrill it has been to see all your SPOOKtacular makes, thank you Wicked Makers for joining us for our 14th annual Halloween Haunt Hop!  YAY it's Halloween but BOO the SPOOKtivities have now come to an end for this year!  Mark your calendars and join us for HALFoWeen in May and our 15th annual 31 Days of Halloween 2025 will be here before you can scream!  Mwahahaha 🎃

 

Don't fret coz the fun isn't over yet....I have my fabulous festive Christmas and Winter release coming the first week of November which you do not want to miss!

Our creativities now continue into November with our new Challenge starting this Friday already, see you there!

 

Now for my Day 31 make to close our 31 Days of Halloween SPOOKtivities with a bang!

I've been making slimline book panels all month long and now it's time to show you the last one and the big reveal of my slimline book featuring my new CAToWeen 2024 Loveleigh Kitties Halloween Collection!  Check everything out and more in my Halloween Sale that also ends tonight at midnight pacific!

 

CAToWeen is the star of my last slimline book panel which decorates the spine of my PURRtastic 31 Days of Halloween slimline accordion book!

 

I used all the text and CAToWeen from this year's 31 Days of Halloween badge to decorate my book spine which I printed and fussy cut out with scissors.

 

 

All the text was layered onto heavy weight black cardstock multiple times to create nice chunky pieces.  I then painted the text and parts of CAToWeen with a clear Spectrum Noir glitter brush pen for a touch of pretty shimmer as well as Crystal Stickles Glitter for lots of magical sparkle.

 

 

I made an accordion slimline book with a wrap around cover to hold all my book panels.

 

 

I made the book cover and pages with Crafter's Companion heavy weight black construction card then decorated all the outside and inside cover panels with Crafter's Companion black glitter card and Halloween themed patterned cardstock.

 

 

I edged all the outside and inside decorative cover panels with Spectrum Noir Midas Bronze pigment ink for a touch of distressed metallic elegance.

 

 

I made folded pages with 1/2 inch spines to accommodate the multi-layered slimline book panels.  

 

 

 To create the accordion pull out I alternated the adhering of each page to the next with page spines on both sides of the pull out.

 

 

I then adhered the assembled accordion page pull out to the back cover panel.

 

 

As 31 Days of Halloween is a countdown I adhered the book panels in place starting with Day 1 at the back and Day 29 at the front with today's Day 31 panel on the outside book spine.

 

 

 The book opens and you flip flop each page to see all my PURRtastic slimline book panels.

 

 

 

I decorated all the facing pages with Crafter's Companion Halloween themed cardstock.

 

 

I edged all the facing panels with Spectrum Noir Midas pigment ink in either gold, silver or bronze to match the ink I used on each book panel make.

 

 

 Here's a look at a few of the double page spreads.

 

 

To complete the facing pages I'm going to add a decorative label with some journaling about each page plus a decorative Day number.

 

 

I left the facing page behind the make on the front page blank for now coz I might add a few more pages to the accordion pull out and include panels from HalfoWeen 2025.  I will then decorate the outside panel by the book closure with the HalfoWeen badge if I do.

To complete my slimline book I added black velcro to the closure flaps.
