My Spring Blog Hop inspiration today is a fun box card I've made for my nephew's birthday this month featuring the new Clover Cluster included in the Paddy Balleigh Monster set and the Party Balleigh Monster!

 

 

These box cards are equally as fun to make as it is for your loved ones to open and I think my nephew will get a kick out of it when he receives this one later this month😁

 

 

The box card was a print and cut file included with my Silhouette Cameo 4 and I modified it to make this box card.

 

 

Party Balleigh Monster is the star of the show and he's pleased as punch and ready to party when the card pops open!  I coloured the images with Copics, Prismacolor pencils and white Dylusion paint pen hightlights.

 

 For the arch panels I created a patterned cardstock using the Clover Cluster included in my new Paddy Balleigh Monster set....it is a March birthday after all and clovers bring good luck!  I used Cracked Pistachio and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide inks to colour the panels.

 

For a touch of birthday sparkle I added some Crystal Stickles glitter glue!

As usual, so much prettier in real life!

 

 

For the side panels and both sides of the tall back panel I used a party hat patterned paper from my stash.

 

 

You can't go wrong with box cards for delivering the WOW moment when opened but they're so easy to mail out too coz they fold flat!

My ‘Tis the Season Blog Hop inspiration for you today is a festive quirky cute 3D pop up impossible card featuring my new Merry Craftmas Sandy Oddleigh Wreath, Merry Craftmas senti from the Crafty Sandy Oddleigh set plus the Craftmas Collage❄️

 This was such a fun card to make but it took a few weeks to complete with all my ongoing back and wrist issues😖 but I loved every second of it and how it turned out🥰

 

The Merry Craftmas Sandy Oddleigh Wreath is bursting with festive crafty goodness.  I coloured the design with Copics and Prismacolour pencils and added white gel pen highlights and metallic gold detailing.  Plus lots of Viva Pearl magic transparent white gel dimension, Crystal Stickles sparkle and Spectrum Noir clear sparkle pen shimmer.

 

 

I fussy cut out the Merry Craftmas Sandy Oddleigh Wreath and matching off set shadow mat with my Silhouette Cameo 4.

 

For the construction of the impossible card I completely modified a Silhouette Design Store cut file by Snapdragon Snippets.  I used a heavy weight white cardstock for the base construction and coloured it with Black Soot Distress Ink with sponged on Tarnished Brass Distress Stain Spray for a mottled effect.

 

The Merry Craftmas senti is from the Crafty Sandy Oddleigh set and I coloured it with white Dylusions paint pen and embellished the rubber stamp with 3D sparkle gel and Stickles glitter and edged with glitter too.

I used the fabulous Craftmas Collage to make the 2 "L" shaped panels and printed the design out onto the Distress Oxide background mixed media cardstock I made using Candied Apple, Festive Berries and Worn Lipstick with Tarnished Brass Distress Spray Stain splatters.  I also edged all the cut outs with Black Soot Distress Ink.

 

 

A single Holly Sprig is included in the Merry Craftmas Sandy Oddleigh Wreath which I printed and fussy cut out 4 times to embellish the 4 corners of the card base.  I curled the leaves over my paint brush handle to give them dimension and applied Viva Pearl magic transparent shimmer gel to the berries and Crystal Stickles glitter to the leaves.

 

 

I hand cut a smaller version of the sentiment label for the other side of the card and edged it with Spectrum Noir Midas gold pigment ink.  I wrote my Christmas message on it with a gold gel pen😉

A closer look at all the magical dimension and sparkle!

 

Of course she has glitter on her cute little nose and all over her hands😁

 

 

The card is called "impossible" coz of the cut that creates the pop-up.  The base starts out flat with 2 "L" shaped panels with one as the mirror image and the short side of the "L's" attached.

 

 

Then cut the "L" panels apart up the middle leaving them attached along the top edge crease where the pop-up part joins.  I then flipped the left side "L" backwards and the 2 label cuts bridge the gaps between the panels to keep the base sturdy.

 

 

I created a center strut for the pop-up and sandwiched it between the Merry Craftmas Sandy Oddleigh Wreath and the matching mat panel.  The whole card folds flat for mailing and I added a little easel stand on the back to help the pop up wreath stand up nicely once on display.

Soooo much fun, LOL!

💀 Poe Gnome's Enchanted Garden 💀

My Day 15 of 31 Days of Halloween Hop inspiration for you today is an enchanted hexagonal shadowbox light featuring Poe Gnome and Grim Batleigh from the SPOOKtember 2020 release and the Enchanted Garden Cobblestone Cottage.

 

 

Poe Gnome lives in an enchanted garden under a magical amethyst sky where everything is tinted purple, including Poe and his pet raven!  

 

 

Poe Gnome lives in an enchanting purple Cobblestone Cottage surrounded by tall purple trees where silver spiderwebs sparkle in the moonlight.

 

 

At night when he's writing poetry by his fire the stars twinkle with a mysterious green light!

 

 

 I had so much fun making this hexagonal shadowbox light. 

I modified a Silhouette Design Store hexagonal shadowbox cut file by Tanya Batrak and used just the shadowbox frame, tiny bat and branches.  Also from Silhouette is the grass border by Paige Evans and the fabulous spiky Halloween border by Rivka Wilkins.  Everything was cut out of black cardstock and then I painted it with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Amethyst glitter ink so everything has a lovely purple tinted shimmer.

Poe Gnome, Grim Batleigh and the Enchanted Garden Cobblestone Cottage are all coloured with a purple Prismacolor pencil and fussy cut out.  I used yellow and 2 shades of orange to the colour all the windows for a pretty firelight glow.

 

 

 

There are many weird and wonderful critters lurking in the enchanted garden so Grim Batleigh is happily flying around keeping a watchful eye on things!

 

 

 For the background I used Wilted Violet and Black Soot Distress Oxide Sprays and Black Soot Distress Stain Spray on watercolour cardstock to create a pretty twilight sky then stamped Tim's "Life of the Party" spiderweb stamp in Spectrum Noir Silver Midas ink.

 

 

Then I added drops of dimensional Delta Ceramcoat glow-in-the-dark paint.

 

 

The final touch was to install the dew drop fairy light string for a truly magical scene!

 

 That spooktacular skelly tree was a gifty from my sister which I painted with the same Distress Sprays and splattered with Tarnished Pewter Distress Stain spray.  It goes faBOOlously with my hex Poe Gnome shadowbox light🎃

💀 Germies Are Scary 💀

My Day 13 of 31 Days of Halloween Hop inspiration for you today is a creeptastic but fun hand sanitizer gift box featuring my new Germie Balleigh Monster set from the SPOOKtember 2020 release!

 

This hand sanitizer box, a Silhouette Design Store cut file by Jamie Lane Designs, is so freaking cute and was just screaming to be used with my Germie Balleigh Monster set!

 

 

 I fussy cut out Germie Balleigh Monster and coloured him up with Prismacolor pencils.  I also fussy cut a black mat layer for him too.  

 

 

 

I printed the "sorry you got germies" sentiment, included in the set, onto cardstock I made then matted it onto white then black cardstock layers.

 

 

I used a 12 x 12 inch double sided sheet from Tim's Retro Grunge paper to cut out the box.  The wonderful green distressed pattern is on the outside and the green dot pattern on the inside.

 

 

I made a sheet of mixed media cardstock coloured with Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Sprays then splattered the sheet with Tarnished Brass Distress Stain Spray for a touch of bling.  Then printed out collaged "Germie Clusters", included in the set, all over the page.

 

 

 I cut out all the box panels from my sheet of Germie Clusters and edged the box and all the panels with Black Soot Distress Ink. 

 

You can see the gold bling of the Tarnished Brass Distress Stain spray here!

 

 The "Germs are Scary" saying came with the box cut file...couldn't have been more perfect for Halloween and the state of the world right now!  For the bottle cut out top panel inside the box I used just the little "wormie germies" from the Germies Cluster collage.

 

 

 I mounted Germie Balleigh Monster on to the box front with black foam tape and finished off with the lime green and turquoise ribbon adhered to the box top with a glue dot.

 

 

These Germie Balleigh Monster hand sanitizer boxes would make great gifts for your adult friends this Halloween.  They'd be fun "maybe" for the kids too....if you're in the mood to find out if the Trick or Treaters appreciate them, bwahahahaha🎃
