Our February Challenge #2 - Let Love Bloom ends tonight at 11:55pm pacific so still time to get some last minute makes in!  What a fabulous turn out of gorgeous makes have been shared, thank you everyone for playing along with us this month❤️  Our creativities for March start on the 4th plus our Feb Winners announcement is coming soon too so stay tuned😁

 

Before we say farewell to February I've got more Valentine themed make to share with you today!

"Somebunny Loves You"

One last Valentine make for you today created by moi using my fun and versatile Scratch Hearts Background and one of my adorable lil bunnies, Tipsy, from the Baby Bunny Balleigh Monster set.

 

 

The "Some Bunny Loves You" is a Silhouette Studio cut file by Kolette Hall that I've had in my library for awhile and not used yet, this card was the perfect time to play with it! 

 

 

I started out by making my Distress Oxide background with Worn Lipstick and Candied Apple and printed out the Scratched Hearts design for a fun and dramatic background.

 

Tipsy Baby Bunny Balleigh Monster is very happy to be out on a Valentine card.  I coloured Tipsy with Prismacolor pencils and added Diamond Stickles to Tipsy’s eyelids for a touch of pretty sparkle.  I fussy cut out the cutie bunny and adhered to the card with a pop dot for a bit of dimension.

 

I cut the “Somebunny Loves You” sentiment out twice from black cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo 4 and applied metallic gold Spectrum Noir Midas pigment ink to one of them to use as a shadow layer which was achieved by matting the 2 cut elements together with a slight offset.

 

For a touch of subtle shimmer I painted the black sentiment layer with a Spectrum Noir Onyx Black sparkle glitter brush pen.

 

 I then applied metallic gold Spectrum Noir Midas pigment ink to the edges of the background panel and mounted it onto a top fold card I made from heavy weight black cardstock.

LeighSBDesigner Val made this lovely Valentine themed inspirational make for Challenge #2 - Let Love Bloom featuring designs from my Valentine Digi Stamps from the 2019 Collection and the 2021 Collection❤️

 

To make this wonderful card Val used Raggedy Heart Strings and one of the 3 sentiments included in the Heart Blooms digi stamp set.

 

 

Val used Distress Oxide inks to create the blended background and then coloured the hearts with a red embossing pen and used clear embossing powder to achieve a wonderful glossy dimensional effect.  

 

 

She used Hobby Craft white and red cardstocks to make the mat layer and base card and then completed this lovely make by adding self-adhesive pearls to the centers of all the ribbon bows...such a pretty and elegant little touch!

LeighSBDesigner Val made this gorgeous Valentine themed inspirational make for Challenge #2 - Let Love Bloom featuring designs from the 2021 Valentine Collection❤️

Val created this gorgeous Valentine card using the wonderful floral heart and one of 3 sentiments included in the Heart Blooms digi stamp set.

 

 

 To make her card Val used Spectrum Noir Tri-blend markers in red, alpine green and hydrangea to colour the lovely floral heart and applied Stardust Stickles glitter to the flower centers for lots of pretty sparkle.  She used white and red cardstocks from Hobbycraft to create her card base and mat layers and then completed her with 6 pretty self-adhesive pearls.

Tee joins us today as Guest Designer with two fabulous cards featuring Romeo and Juliet Balleigh Monsters from the 2021 Valentine Collection❤️

Don't these love sick Balleigh Monsters just make you smile😁

 

Tee coloured Romeo and Juliet Balleigh Monsters with Caliart markers on a heavy white cardstock.  She used Over the Rainbow paper for her backgrounds and matted them on smooth white card bases.  Tee then embellished with green glitter on the leaves, Nuvo white crystal drops on Romeo's tooth and a pink gem on Juliet's hair bow.  The senties "Smooches" and "Smitten" are just 2 of the senties included in the digi stamp sets with these cutie monsters❤️

What a fabulously Valentine makes Tee, thanks for being our Guest Designer today!

LeighSBDesigner Val made this gorgeous Valentine themed inspirational make for Challenge #2 - Let Love Bloom featuring designs from my Valentine Digi Stamps from the 2019 Collection and the 2021 Collection❤️

Val created this gorgeous Valentine card with a touch of grunge that makes it perfect for the guys...you know some of them just can't handle the cards that are too lovey dovey for their liking, LOL😉  She used the grunge style Raggedy Heart Strings Background as her focal image and included "Let Love Bloom" from the Heart Blooms digi stamp set for her senti which is the title and theme of our current challenge.

 

 

 To make her card Val used Squeezed Lemonade and Fired Brick Distress Oxide inks to grunge up the design and accented some of the hearts with a red marker.  For her mat layer she used Hobby Craft red glitter cardstock and used Hobby Craft smooth white cardstock to print the digi stamps on as well as the folded card base.

Today we kick off the first of our 2 creativities for February🎉

Our Hop+Challenges are now separate parties with our Challenge starting today and then our 4th annual Gothic Valentine Blog Hop begins as usual on February 13 for four dark and twisty days as we explore the dark side of love so do come and join us this month🎉
