St Patrick's Day Card by Leigh
My Challenge #15 Spring Leprechauns inspiration for you today is a wonderful fancy cut-out aperture card featuring my St Patrick's Day themed digis included in this month's sale!
The fun focal point of my card is the cheeky Oddleigh Leprechaun, the senti is from the Paddy Balleigh Monster set and I created the gorgeous background with the Oddleigh 4 Leaf Clover Corner element included in the Oddleigh Leprechaun set.
I coloured the cheeky Oddleigh Leprechaun with Copics and Prismacolor pencils and fussy cut him and the senti out with offset borders using my Cameo 4. I also cut out shadow mats for them out of black cardstock.
I've had the fun "Abstract Clover and Circles" card by Daniela Angelova in my Silhouette library for a few years and decided it was time to use it😉 I cut the card shape out of black cardstock. Using the Oddleigh 4 Leaf Clover Corner element included in the Oddleigh Leprechaun set I designed and coloured my decorative paper in Adobe Fresco and
printed it out onto white cardstock. I then created my own inset mat layers in Silhouette Studio for the card front following the card shape and cut the layers from my decorative paper.
I applied light green Spectrum Noir glitter ink to the Leprechaun's clothing and 4 leaf clover, the yellow
swirls on the decorative paper with yellow glitter ink and all the coins with clear glitter ink to the for lots of magical shimmer.
Gold bling was a must and my stash of gold faceted adhesive backed gems in 3 sizes were the perfect size to decorate all the circles along the cut-out aperture. I then completed my card by mounting the Oddleigh Leprechaun and senti onto the card front with black foam tape and adhering a panel of lime green cardstock inside the card that peeks dramatically through the fun aperture.
