Loveleigh Kitties in Wonderland

Pop-Up Box Card

LeighSBDesigner Val is here to inspire you today with her PURRtastic Pop-Up Box Card featuring all my new wonderlandful Loveleigh Kitties in Wonderland Collection of quirky cute characters and Wonderland Senties and Quotes!

 

 

The Loveleigh Kitties in Wonderland Characters are available in a Bundle and individually:

Alice, Hatter, Queen, Cheshire and Rabbit.

 

 

 

The Wonderland Senties and Quotes are also available in a Bundle as well as two individual sets:  Wonderland Senties set and Wonderland Quotes set.

 

 

 Val printed out all 5 of the Wonderland Characters onto white cardstock and coloured them with Promarkers and used a Sakura white gel pen and glitter pens to add details and pretty sparkle to each image.  She then fussy cut them all out with scissors.

 

    

For her Pop-Up Box Card she upcycled a traditional 6 sided box made of kraft cardstock and removed the bottom as well as the closure flap on the lid.  She then covered all the exterior panels with holographic gold foil Christmas wrapping paper with a pretty snowflake design.

 

 

She made one interior panel for inside the box and adhered 2 kitties to it and the remaining 3 kitties directly to the inside edge of the box front.

 

 

Next she printed out various Sentiments and Quotes from both the Wonderland Senties set and the Wonderland Quotes set which she then trimmed and mounted onto black cardstock. 

 

 

 

She then completed her fun Pop-Up Box Card by decorating all 3 of the outside panels of the box as well as the box top flap that sticks up at the back.

The Valentine Slimline Multi-Elements SVG Cutz is a wonderful versatile set for making vertical and horizontal slimline cards and so much more as all the individual elements included in the set allow you to mix and match and customize to your heart's content!  You get 12 sets of Elements as follows:

• A wonderful slimline framed overlay panel with a vertical Heart Beat Line design plus a matching shadow layer and a mat layer.
  

Then there's 11 additional individual elements to embellish and customize the slimline panel or make whatever your heart desires.  I designed all the elements to be used at the size provided and recommend you only resize larger, especially the "cut out words", but feel free to experiment:

• 3 Heart styles with various layers

Zombie Alice with a Bow in Her Hair - a Delicious Doodles DT project!

Happy April 1st to you all!
Before I share today's project I've got news about my new blog, Velvet Paw Creations.  Nope this isn't an April Fools prank heheheh, I'm busy doing a complete re-design of my website and my blogs and my new blog now has my Velvet Paw Creations.com URL and will feature the projects I create for the design teams I'm on.  I'm going to do a slow transition so my projects will be shared in both locations for now.  I hope you will all pop on over to my Velvet Paw Creations blog and start following me there now too.  Don't leave this blog though coz I've got a big unveiling and a launch to soon announce and LeighSBDesigns will be the blog for my grand new adventure!  I can't wait to tell you all about it!

Now for today's project share!  It's time for our new challenge over at Delicious Doodles Challenges and April's theme is Ribbons and Flowers.  I could not resist using this GORE-gous ghoul, Angry Zombie Alice, who looks so lovely with a bow in her hair don't you think!  I paired Zombie Alice up with another DD digi, the Rose Corner, which I used twice to create the frame for Alice.

I designed the layout in Photoshop CS6 and printed out onto Neenah Solar White cardstock.  I coloured everything with Copic markers and used drops of rubbing alcohol on the roses and leaves to blur and bleed the colours together to further enhance the grunge vibe I wanted for this piece and then worked some more on the leaves and roses with Copics.  I distressed the edges of the cardstock with Tim's paper distresser tool and used Derwent brown pastel pencil blended with a Dove Blender pen on the background.  I used Dylusions white paint pen on the dots and applied Viva le Pearl Magic White Transparent on top for a touch of dimension and shimmer.  I also applied clear Wink of Stella to her glorious red nails.  I made a bow for her hair and adhered it over the bow that's part of the design with a glue dot and finished off by adding small blue self-adhesive jewels to the flourishes and larger ones on all four corners.  I then matted the panel onto slate "dirty" blue cardstock which I tore to further add to the grunge feel of the piece before adhering everything to a folded card I made from a sheet of black cardstock.  I love the finished piece and that I achieved exactly the look and feel I was going for.

"Steampunk Queen of Hearts" Mad Hatter's Top Hat - Lost Coast Designs DT

Howzit Everyone!
We're going down the rabbit hole again on another adventure into Wonderland over at Lost Coast Portal to Creativity and this time we've found ourselves in the realm of Steampunk ruled by the Queen of Hearts!  Oh my!  Buckle up coz things are getting steamy as we countdown to Valentine's Day with daily LCDesigner project shares!

I'm a huge Alice in Wonderland fan so of course I have the Ever After High Wonderland character dolls in my collection.  For my project I made Lizzie Hearts an oversized Mad Hatter's top hat!  Here it is in all it's glory!
