Slimline Book Panel

Happy October 13th! I'm back for Day 13 of our 31 Days of Halloween SPOOKtivities with my SPOOKtacular Slimline book panel featuring digi stamps from the Once Upon a Nightmare 2021 Collection and a SVG Cutz set and Decorative Digi Paper from the This is Halloween 2023 Collection. Plus, you might have noticed already that the purple bottle is decorated
with one of my stunning Apothercary Labels included in the Furness Forest Apothecary Labels Set #1 from the Shadows Rising 2022 Collection.

The Gothic 13 SVG Cutz for electronic cutting machines is the focus of today's book panel.
Using my Silhouette Cameo 5 I cut the Gothic 13 design overlay from black cardstock and then I glittered it up with a black glitter glue with gold specks. The glitter is really dramatic in real life.
My
31 Days of Halloween makes are going in a book I'm making so I first
made a slimline 4" x 9" book panel from heavy weight black
cardstock.
For my background panel I used a large green print from my This Is Halloween Decorative Digi Paper Pack that has my Gothic13 design down the left side and Gothic 31 down the right.
I cut the panel 1/8 inch smaller than the black book panel and tore the bottom edge so I could also include a portion of the 31 side of the design.
I then edged the torn edge with Spectrum Noir Midas Gold pigment ink, adhered the 2 panels together and edged the outer edges in gold.
Next I coloured 3 Candy Bats in Adobe Fresco and printed them out. I fussy cut them all out with scissors leaving a very narrow white border which I coloured with a lime green Copic marker to make them look like they're surrounded by an eerie green glow.
I decorated the top right corner of the panel with a Crafter's Companion Vintage Halloween corner die cut element cut from black cardstock. I then applied gold pigment ink to the 2 outer edges once I adhered it place with glue.
Next I used a Diamond Press die to die cut out the word 'October" from an orange scrap piece from my This Is Halloween Decorative Digi Paper Pack. To make a nice chunky sentiment I then cut the word out of black cardstock 4 times and adhered them altogether.
To create wonderful dimension and a drop shadow I adhered the Gothic 13 cut element and the Candy Bats to the the panel with black foam tape.
To complete my October 13 themed panel I then adhered the word "October" in place with glue and embellished the panel with a scattering of black and amber gems in 3 sizes.
