Fall Kitty Slimline Book Panel

I'm back for Day 11 of our 31 Days of Halloween SPOOKtivities with my PURRtastic Slimline book panel featuring a Loveleigh Kitty and matching senti from my new CAToWeen 2024 Loveleigh Kitties Halloween Collection, Fall Pumpkins from the This is Halloween 2023 Collection, Candy Bats from the Once Upon a Nightmare 2021 Collection and my wicked awesome FUNdamental Foundations Slimline Coffins Nesting SVG Cutz set for electronic cutting machines.  Plus, you might have noticed already that the purple bottle is decorated with one of my stunning Apothercary Labels included in the Furness Forest Apothecary Labels Set #1 from the Shadows Rising 2022 Collection.

The Fall Kitty is the main star of today's book panel but this one is jam packed with so many of my other fabulous digi stamps too.

 

 

 

I coloured my beautiful Fall Kitty, the Fall Pumpkins and Candy Bats in Adobe Fresco and printed them out in all their magical colour.

 

 

Fall Kitty and the Candy Bats were fussy cut with scissors leaving a narrow white border that makes them pop nicely against the background paper.

 

My 31 Days of Halloween makes are going in a book I'm making so I first made a slimline 4" x 9" book panel from heavy weight black cardstock.  For my background panel I used a large print of my coloured slimline Fall Pumpkins cut 1/8 inch smaller than the black panel which meant I had to cut off part of the image along the bottom.

 

 

I used this particular print for my background coz it was in my left over stash from 2021.  I made a mistake by printing it with the Silhouette Studio registration marks still on and it's got a corner line in the top right corner, ugh, but works for this make coz I covered it up with the Candy Bats 😉

 

 

I then edged it with Spectrum Noir Midas Gold pigment ink for a touch of distressed metallic elegance and adhered it to the black panel with glue.

 

 

For the mat and layered Coffin panels I used my SPOOKtacular FUNdamental Foundations Slimline Coffins Nesting SVG Cutz set for electronic cutting machines.  The set includes 7 concentric slimline coffin mats and layers for making slimline cards, tags and more!

 

 

 I used the largest coffin SVG Cutz to create my coffin background panel using a 2nd print of Fall Pumpkins.  I cut it out with my Silhouette Cameo 5 electronic cutting machine on the awesome electrostatic mat then applied Spectrum Noir Midas Gold pigment ink to the edges.  Next I adhered it to heavy weight white cardstock and cut a very narrow white border mat with scissors that subtly picks up on the white borders around the images and the pumpkin eyes.

 

 

For lots of fun dimension I adhered the coffin to the background slimline book panel and Fall Kitty onto the coffin with foam tape.

 

 

I then used both glue and foam tape for the Candy Bats to allow for the height difference in the layers.

 

For a touch of magical sparkle I applied Diamond Stickles glitter to the kitty's nose, all the leaves and acorns, her lovely fluffy tail, the Candy Bats and the Pumpkins' rosy cheeks.

 

 

To complete my make I used the "Have a PURRtastic Fall" sentie included in the Fall Cat Senties set of 4 Cat themed Fall and Autumn digi stamp sentiments.

 

 

 

I opened the sentiment in Silhouette Studio and added an offset.  I used the "print and cut" feature to first print the senti with my printer onto white cardstock and then fussy cut it out with my Silhouette Cameo 5.  Next I applied Villainous Potion Distress Ink to colour the white cardstock.  I then performed some Halloween magic by cutting out just the "oween" portion of a senti from my Halloween Kitty Senties set and now my make says "Fall-oween"!  I adhered the Fall senti to the book panel with half glue and half foam tape to allow for the height difference.  Next I adhered 4 layers of black cardstock to the "oween" to make it nice and chunky and adhered it in place with glue.
