Day 25 of 31 Days of Halloween
Wicked Tweedle Twins
Panel #10
by Leigh
"These tricksters we're seeing, do you mean the Tweedle Twins?" asked Alice nervously.
"You're so very clever Alice, they are indeed the tricksters" said the Mad Hatter feeling quite pleased with himself for solving the puzzle of Alice's wicked adventure.
"Oh dear, I was afraid you would say that, they must be ever so wicked now it's Halloween" said Alice looking around worriedly at the deepening shadows.
Suddenly the giant rose bushes surround them started to rustle with darting shadows and wicked giggles seemed to be coming from everywhere at once making Alice jump right out of her skin which was most unpleasant indeed.
"Tweedledee and Tweedledum come out now and tell Alice what you've done" called the Mad Hatter.
"Only if you can find us or catch us, whichever comes first is up to you" giggled the wicked twins in hiding.
The Tweedle Twins darted in and out of the rose bushes in every direction including up and down giggling "we're this way" or "that way" making Alice spin in circles.
Alice stamped her foot and shouted "ENOUGH!"
"Boys, I want you front and center NOW" commanded Alice.
Immediately the Tweedle Twins came to a screeching halt in front of Alice and stood to attention.
"What are you two looking so smug about?" asked Alice eyeing the colourful trickster twins up and down.
"We have a secret surprise and you have to go to the Royal Court to find your way back home" they riddled with a giggle.
"To see the Queen of Hearts, are you mad?...nevermind, don't answer that" said Alice with a sigh.
"Splendid, we're finally all going my way, follow me" said the White Rabbit suddenly in a much better mood that didn't last very long.
"Oh dear oh dear, I'm so very late for a very important date!" shrieked Rabbit.
I'm back for Day 25 of our 31 Days of Halloween SPOOKtivities with the 10th in a series of panels featuring designs from my new Wicked Wonderland Halloween Collection.
The panels will be stored in an ornate tin I'm altering and all will be revealed on Oct 31st π
This panel features the SPOOKtacular Wicked Tweedle Twins and the Wicked Arrow Signs.
I coloured the digi images in Adobe Fresco then printed and fussy cut out two sizes of the Wicked Tweedle Twins leaving a narrow white border to make them all "glow" and pop nicely
against the background.
I used the smaller set of twins for the two peeking in at the top and bottom of the panel.
Using
the keyhole template I made based on the ornate tin I'm altering, I cut
the shape of the main panel from heavy weight black cardstock and a
1/4" smaller background mat layer for both the front and back of the panel cut from the gothic Thorn and Bloom paper pad by Crafter's Companion. I then edged all the pieces with Spectrum Noir metallic gold pigment ink and adhered the front and back layers to the black panel.
I
then adhered the wicked Tweedle Twins and the "This Way" "That Way" Arrow Signs to the panel with black foam
tape for some fun dimension.
I then glued the arms from Tweedledee, which were left over from the cut up smaller print, to the panel to complete the chaotic Tweedle Twin scene. I then added magical shimmer to the images with a clear Spectrum Noir glitter brush pen and metallic shine to some details with a gold gel pen. I also embellished Tweedledee's tunic with a single metallic red confetti heart.
I kept the back panel simple to show off the gorgeous Thorn and Bloom decorative paper that includes the BOOtiful scene of a castle which of course is the Royal Court.
I used another Lost in
Wonderland chunky chipboard sticker by Prima Marketing to tell the story for the back of panel #10. "Trust your crazy ideas" is the mantra Alice is repeating to herself right about now. I coloured the sides of the the chunky sticker with a Spectrum Noir
metallic gold paint pen and adhered it in place with glue.
On the front panel I used Tim Holtz'
Ignite Neon Alcohol ink on the card suite symbols on Tweedledee's tunic and glow-in-the-dark paint on all their eyes and Tweedledum's buttons and card suite pocket.
I then turned on the black light to reveal all the magic.
I love how the GITD and neon alcohol ink and all the white areas glow!
For panel #10 I used the
