Day 13 of 31 Days of Halloween
Down the Wicked Rabbit Hole
Panel #3
by Leigh

The magical bat wings on Alice's ankles flapped furiously until she hovered directly above the Wicked Rabbit Hole.  In fright she lost her grip on her Bunny then sighed with relief when he just floated in the air right next to her.  Suddenly her bunny ears started to shimmer and the spell spread out until everything was shimmering with wicked magic.

Remembering she had transformed into the White Rabbit she said out loud,
"I'm Late ... I'm Late"

The portal to Wicked Wonderland responded immediately and Alice fell into the shimmering wicked Rabbit Hole closely followed by her bunny....

I'm back for Day 13 of our 31 Days of Halloween SPOOKtivities with the 3rd in a series of panels featuring designs from my new Wicked Wonderland Halloween Collection.
The panels will be stored in an ornate tin I'm altering and all will be revealed on Oct 31st 😁

We're still at the Wicked Rabbit Hole with Curious Wicked Alice in this scene which I coloured digitally in Adobe Fresco.  I previously printed out the images in various sizes and this time I used a slightly smaller Wicked Rabbit Hole and a much larger Curious Wicked Alice.  I also used playing cards, stars and an extra bat from the Falling Wicked Alice image.  As well as 2 sizes of the "I'm Late" arrow senti from the Wicked Arrow Signs set and the Down the Rabbit Hole - Arrow and Hanging Sign set for this panel.

I fussy cut everything out including the tiny stars leaving a narrow white border to make them "glow" and pop nicely against the background.  For the pretty magical shimmer I used a clear Spectrum Noir glitter brush pen.

Using the keyhole template, made based on the shape of the ornate tin I'm altering, I cut the shape of the main panel from heavy weight black cardstock and a 1/4" smaller background mat layer cut from Crafter's Companion Halloween cardstock that has a spooktacular bare tree forest scene with lots of webs and spiders.  I edged both pieces with Spectrum Noir metallic gold pigment ink and adhered them together.

Using an x-acto knife I cut the rim of the rabbit hole ready for Alice to fall down and adhered the Wicked Rabbit Hole scene in place with glue.  Curious Wicked Alice then had a scary encounter with my scissors and lost her body below the shoulders.  I tucked her into the slit and adhered her in place with black foam tape for some fun dimension.

I then decorated the scene with the stars, bats, tiny Candy Bat and floating playing cards using glue but used foam tape on the bunny toy so he looks like he's being sucked down the hole after Alice.

The back of the panel is also decorated with a mat layer cut from the B side of the Crafter's Companion Halloween cardstock I used on the front.  Here I used the "Down the Rabbit Hole" Arrow and the "If You Dare" Hanging Sign, which is just one of the 3 Hanging Signs included in the set, as well as the "Furness Forest" arrow sign plus the "Follow Me" Lost in Wonderland chunky chipboard sticker by Prima Marketing to tell the story of panel #3.  I adhered all of the arrow signs to heavy weight black cardstock and fussy cut them out to make them nice and chunky and I coloured the sides of just the chipboard piece with a Spectrum Noir metallic gold paint pen then adhered them all to the panel with glue.  One of my little bats from the Gothic Nightmare Catcher SVG Cutz set flew by to join the scene and I also added a sprinkle of the purple glitter spots from Trinity Stamps.

Now you know me, I don't do Halloween without some kind of light element or glow-in-the-dark effect!  For this panel I added tiny magical dots of DecoArt glow-in-the-dark paint and the bat on the back panel got treated to some Tim Holtz' Ignite Neon Alcohol ink and then I turned on the black light.

The GITD dots glow eerily along with all the white areas and the bat's eyes glow orange!
I'm loving this black light effect!

Sooo SPOOKY!

For panel #3 I used Wicked Rabbit Hole
