Woohoo, October is the most SPOOKTACULAR time of the year and I’m thrilled to be back with our 11th annual 31 Days of Halloween Blog Hop where we gleefully countdown to October 31st in SPOOKtacular style and this year there's a new twist for even more wicked good fun!

I'm excited to announce that LeighSBDesigns will now be hosting monthly Hop+ChallengesπŸŽ‰
Stress free creative fun designed to inspire and bring makers together is the name of the game so our annual hops plus the monthly hops we've had a blast hosting to help keep our creative spirits up throughout the pandemic are all merging into one big creative Hop+Challenge party where, as usual, YOU choose when and how often YOU play starting with 31 Days of Halloween!  There are 3 ways to play and LeighSBDesigns has proudly partnered up with some fabulous companies to sponsor prizes for you to win plus all winners are invited to Guest Design in future Hop+Challenges tooπŸŽ‰

Put your love of Halloween and crafty stamina to the test and play as often as you want as a Wicked Blogger and hop along admiring all the faBOOlous makes shared throughout the month while leaving lots of love on the makes linked up on the same days you choose to play to qualify for the Sponsored Hop Prizes
OR
If your crafty time is limited you can still join the spooktivities by playing in the Challenge part of the fun with no hopping required!  There's 2 tiers to the Challenge:
Enter the monthly Challenge with makes using LeighSBDesigns digi stamps or SVG Cutz to qualify for the LeighSBDesigns Challenge Prize

Day 19
"The Moon has Awoken"
Gothic Easel Card by Leigh

Once Upon a Nightmare....in the enchanted Furness Forest the Moon has Awoken with the Sleep of the Sun, the Light has been broken, the Spell has begun!

For Day 19 of our SPOOKtacular 31 Days of Halloween Hop+Challenge I'm back with a magical Moon Easel Card featuring digi stamps and SVG Cutz from my new Once Upon a Nightmare Collection!

To make my magical easel card I started out with my new Gothic Crystal Ball Easel Card 3D SVG Cutz set and cut the base pieces from black heavy weight cardstock, the spiderweb and Fleur-de-lis overlays from black 80lb cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo 4.

I then cut the Crystal Ball base mat layer and the Fleur-de-lis from purple cardstock.

I sized my Wicked Moon digi stamp to fit the easel card in Silhouette Studio and printed it out on Silhouette's specialty glow-in-the-dark sticker paper and cut it out.

I then sized the lace overlay from my new Furness Forest Faerie Ring Layered SVG Cutz to fit the easel card and cut it out from black cardstock.

I also sized "The Moon Has Awoken" saying from my faBOOlous A Wicked Compendium of Halloween Sayings set in Silhouette Studio to fit the crystal ball base and cut it out with an offset and also cut out a matching mat layer from black cardstock.

I used the circle mat layer included in the Gothic Crystal Ball Easel Card 3D SVG Cutz set to size the Furness Forest Winter Treescape digi stamp and then cut it out.

I coloured the treescape circle with Wilted Violet and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide inks and added stars to the night sky with a white Dylusions paint pen.

I then assembled all the cut pieces to create the 3D easel card.  I adhered the base of the crystal ball in place with black foam tape to create the stopper.   The easel card folds flat for mailing and you can also use the easel card pieces to make a 2D crystal ball too!

Now turn out the lights and let the Wicked Moon mesmerize you with it's glowing beauty...the Spell has Begun!
