It’s here, LeighSBDesigns most anticipated 31 Days of Halloween Blog Hop is finally here with a twist this year...I'm excited to announce we now have a monthly challenge too so creep on in and countdown to Halloween in LeighSBDesigns style🎃

Woohoo, October is the most SPOOKTACULAR time of the year and I’m thrilled to be back with our 11th annual 31 Days of Halloween Blog Hop where we gleefully countdown to October 31st in SPOOKtacular style and this year there's a new twist for even more wicked good fun!

Day 15

"Candy Bats Want Candy"

Once Upon a Nightmare deep in the Furness Forest ravenous Candy Bats take to the twilight sky in search of sweet treats beneath the watchful gaze of the enchanted moon!

We're now halfway through our SPOOKtacular 31 Days of Halloween Hop+Challenge and for Day 15 I'm back with an enchanted Furness Forestcape card where Candy Bats swarm featuring digi stamps from my new Once Upon a Nightmare Collection!

I used the faBOOlous Enchanted Moon Furness Forestscape and the wicked Candy Bats and Senti set to create my forest scene.

First I created two mixed media backgrounds, one with Seedless Preserves and Wilted Violet and the other with Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber, Peeled Paint and Crackling Campfire Distress Oxide sprays.

I printed the Enchanted Moon Furness Forestscape out onto both of my Distress Oxide sheets and splattered the purple background with white acrylic paint to create a starry twilight sky. I then fussy cut out all the Trees and the Moon from the colourful sheet and applied Black Soot Distress Ink to the edges the purple panel and all the fussy cut pieces. I then adhered all the Trees and the Moon to the purple panel and added details to them with a white gel pen. The photo above shows all the fun texture and dimension nicely!

I coloured all the Candy Bats in Adobe Fresco and printed out multiple sizes to play with. I then fussy cut them out and adhered them to my enchanted forest scene with black foam tape. I used the "Want Candy" senti which is one of the two senties included in the Candy Bats and Senti set and applied Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide ink to the edges before matting onto black cardstock. I matted the whole panel onto white cardstock and then added it to a folded black card I made from a sheet of heavy weight cardstock.
