It’s here, LeighSBDesigns most anticipated 31 Days of Halloween Blog Hop is finally here with a twist this year...I'm excited to announce we now have a monthly challenge too so creep on in and countdown to Halloween in LeighSBDesigns style🎃

Woohoo, October is the most SPOOKTACULAR time of the year and I’m thrilled to be back with our 11th annual 31 Days of Halloween Blog Hop where we gleefully countdown to October 31st in SPOOKtacular style and this year there's a new twist for even more wicked good fun!

Day 17

"Trick or Treat"

Once Upon a Nightmare....it's midnight in the Furness Forest and the ravenous Candy Bats are flying in a frenzy and if you listen carefully you can hear them chittering beneath the eerily glowing Wicked Moon in the starry sky..."Trick or Treat, give us something good to eat"!

For Day 17 of our SPOOKtacular 31 Days of Halloween Hop+Challenge I'm back with a wicked Furness Forestscape card where Candy Bats are hunting featuring digi stamps from my new Once Upon a Nightmare Collection!

I used the faBOOlous Wicked Moon Furness Forestscape and the wicked Candy Bats and Senti set to create my scary forest scene.

Here's a look at the Wicked Moon Forestscape before the Candy Bats swarm through.

I made my mixed media background using Seedless Preserves and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide sprays and printed out the Wicked Moon Furness Forestscape. I then splattered the forest scene with white acrylic paint to create a starry midnight sky. I added detailing to the black trees with a white gel pen and then applied Black Soot Distress Ink to the edges of the purple forest scene panel.

I coloured all the Candy Bats in Adobe Fresco and printed out multiple sizes to play with. I then fussy cut them out and adhered them to my wicked forest scene with black foam tape. I used the "Trick or Treat" senti, which is one of the two senties included in the Candy Bats and Senti set, and applied Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink to the edges and matted it onto black cardstock.

Now for a touch of wicked magic!
