🎃Day 24 of 31 Days of Halloween 2019🎃
and
😻Day 4 of the Cat Lovers Blog Hop😻

On a recent dig in Egypt a mysterious Pyramid Box was discovered!  Horus the Egyptian Cat proudly sits upon the lid of the mummy cloth bound box surrounded by hieroglyphs embossed in precious silver😻  The handsome Cat god thinks hoomans are Foolish Mortals coz no matter how many times we're warned about mummy curses we're still going to open the box!!!!

FLASH SALE
Horus the Egyptian Cat is on sale until midnight pacific tonight!

I coloured Horus the Egyptian Cat with Copics and white prismacolor pencil with metallic silver gel pen details.  I used a cool colour palette for the entire project except for Horus' eyes which are orange so they'd stand out nicely.  I mounted Horus onto Crafter's Companion matt black cardstock for extra chunkiness and fussy cut him out.

To make the pyramid box I used Crafter's Companion Gemini Triangular Double-sided Box dies and die cut the base and lid out of Crafter's Companion Sheena white heavy weight cardstock.

I then coloured the box pieces with Blueprint Sketch, Seedless Preserves and Black Soot Distress Oxide Sprays.  I also stained a length of Tim's Mummy Cloth with the same sprays.

Using Midas Spectrum Noir Silver pigment ink I stamped the Judikins hieroglyphs rubber stamp all over the box base and lid and embossed with silver embossing powder.

Once the box pieces were assembled I adhered Tim's Halloween Words metal Adornment to the box with foam tape to add dimension and added the mummy cloth to the loops and secured the cloth in place around the box lid with glue dots and tied the ends together on the back of the box.

I mounted Horus onto the box lid with 3D silicone gel for lots of yummy dimension.

This is Neo, my beautiful Abyssinian😻
He hangs out in my studio while I create and loves checking out all my finished projects😻

He's a gorgeous boy😻

  21. I am praying for all those who are affected by those terrible fires. I know what it is like since we had to evacuate in 2015 when wildfires completely surrounded our tiny community. Very scary. Still to this day, anytime we smell smoke we are instantly in PTSD once again. So nerve-wracking. Stay safe.

Loving your completely awesome project, Leigh!! You are an amazing artist. Fabulous effects with the coloring and gleaming silver heiroglyphs. Wow!!
Thanks so much for sponsoring AND playing along in the #2019CatLoversHop!!
