Now for today's creeptastic creation by Me!
🎃Day 9 of 31 Days of Halloween 2019🎃
The Quirkleighs CarnEvil Grimm Reaper Coffin mixed media decor!

You feel in your bones that the end of the Quirkleighs CarnEvil draws near when the Grimm Reaper appears!

You quiver in fear as you stare into his intense eyes!

Helplessly you feel his stare penetrate the darkest corners of your heart as he slowly devours your soul!

I coloured The Quirkleighs CarnEvil Grimm Reaper with Copics and used a white Prismacolor pencil for highlights and added metallic gold gel pen details.

I completely fussy cut him out including the wooden staff of his creepy scythe which I gave dimension and strength to with Judikins Diamond glaze, I also added glaze to the skull adorning his top hat.  I treated his wicked blade with Tim's clear Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint for even more dramatic effect!

Today's mixed media decor is a wooden vignette coffin which I altered using the same theme and techniques as my wonky houses...all of which I prepped first with a coat of Black Soot Distress Stain.  The upper panel represents the Big Top tent which I created with Mustard Seed, Ground Espresso and Black Soot Distress Oxide Sprays.  I then added the big top stripes using Tim's large Rays stencil and Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink.  I used a Crafter's Companion Decorative Edge die to cut the bottom edge of the decorative background panel and a black Sheena heavy weight cardstock panel to create the Big Top tent frill.  The bottom decorative background panel is from Tim's Halloween Idea-ology Paper Stash.  I then grunged up both panels with Black Soot Distress Ink.

I also added some stenciling to the top panel with Tim's Decayed stencil and Black Soot Distress Ink.  I then applied clear Rock Candy Distress Crackle paint lightly tinted with black Dylusions paint to the top panel using the Decayed stencil and the Grime stencil on the bottom panel.

I applied Midas Gold Spectrum Noir metallic pigment ink to the edges of all the panels and then adhered the Skull and Crossbones panel and the black panel to the coffin and used foam tape to pop the top panel off of the black panel.

I made decorative panels for the sides and top of the coffin using mixed media cardstock, Mustard Seed, Candied Apple and Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide Sprays and the faBOOlous large Pumpkin Spooks rubber stamp by Stampendous stamped in black pigment ink.  I finished off all the panel edges with Midas Gold Spectrum Noir metallic pigment ink before adhering them to the coffin.

Have you realized yet that the pumpkins are a view of the Quirkleighs CarnEvil captive audience? and
YOU ARE THE PUMPKINS!
GASP....mwahahaha!

The wooden base for this one is a turned piece made for me by my father-in-law who is no longer with us!  I painted it black and then applied Pebeo Spectrum Noir gold gilding wax to the base and all the edges of the coffin for even more grungy gold bling including Tim's fun Idea-ology Quote Chip which I cut to fit the width of the decor piece.  "Collector of Curiosities" was a fitting quote for him as the collector of souls!

Quotes from Tim's Halloween Clipping Stickers were also perfect for this piece.  I added "The End" to one of Tim's Cryptic gravestones and "her trustful eyes looking straight into his" to the top panel.  I tinted all the clippings with Black Soot Distress Ink and applied clear Rock Candy Distress Crackle paint to grunge them up and I also added crackle to 2 of Tim's Bat Crazy bats too.  I adhered the gravestone and two of Tim's Skull Fragments to the top of the coffin as a "finial" and added touches of gold gilding wax to them.  I completed this piece by adding the Quirleighs CarnEvil Grimm Reaper to the scene with black pop dots.

I'm having so much fun creating these dramatic mixed media decor pieces!

The Quirkleighs CarnEvil Grimm Reaper is on FLASH SALE until midnight pacific tonight!
