π Fright Night - Zylah Shadow Faerieπ
glow-in-the-dark slimline card by Leigh
My Day 9 of 31 Days of Halloween Hop inspiration for you today is a creeptastic glow-in-the-dark "Fright Night" slimline card featuring Zylah Shadow Faerie from my SPOOKtember 2020 release!
I love creating glow-in-the-dark makes equally as much as luminaries and this one of Zylah Shadow Faerie was soooo much fun to make! She's looking totally wicked with her glowing eyes flying around in the dark back lit by the large "Fright Night" sentiment.
I printed Zylah Shadow Faerie out extra large and fussy cut her out. I applied Spectrum Noir Sparkle Onyx Black glitter to her entire body for lots of yummy sparkle and coloured her tattered wings with cool grey Copics.
I used Black Soot and Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide Sprays, Black Soot and Tarnished Pewter Distress Spray Stains to create the top panel "night sky" background on mixed media cardstock and cut out the Silhouette Studio Store "Fright Night" saying by Stinkin Cute Paper Piecings. For the acid green background panel I used Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint and Crushed Olive Distress Oxide Sprays and applied glow-in-the-dark Delta Ceramcoat paint to the entire panel in a distressed fashion.
For Zylah's eyes I used The Art Institue's glow-in-the-dark glitter applied with tacky glue.
I made a folded slimline aka tall and skinny card base from Crafter's Companion heavy weight black cardstock and adhered the 2 panels to the base with glue and then mounted Zylah to the front with black foam tape to give the effect that she's flying.
Zylah Shadow Faerie is ready for a spooktacular Fright Night....are you?
Thanks for stopping by to see today's featured project!
