💀 Quirkleighs CarnEVIL Big Top Luminary💀

My Day 7 of 31 Days of Halloween Hop inspiration for you today is a creeptastic luminary featuring 5 mysterious folk from the Quirkleighs CarnEVIL collection💀

 

The Quirkleighs CarnEVIL is BACK!!!!!

The strange and ominous Big Top has appeared again on the outskirts of town!

 

 It glows beautifully during the day and lights up magnificently at night!  The magical glow is enticing and you feel drawn towards the Big Top but

BEWARE...you really don’t want to enter💀  

 

 

 I had a spooktacular time creating this Big Top Luminary!  Check out my little video of it in glorious action!

 

 

 

To create the hexagonal Big Top I modified a Silhouette Design Store cut file by Samantha Walker and cut it out of a 12 x 12 sheet of Tim's Retro Grunge cardstock.  The cut file orginally had circle panels with a witch inside which I completely removed and I also slightly elongated the panels to more of an oval shape.

 

 

 I printed my Quirkleighs CarnEVIL characters out onto vellum and applied Wild Honey, Ripe Persimmon, Spice Marmalade and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Sprays to the back of each panel to create the distressed stained glass effect.

 

I grunged up the Big Top frame with Black Soot Distress Ink and applied Gold Midas pigment ink by Spectrum Noir to the panel ovals and randomly to the rest of the Big Top for touches of gold glimmer.  I made panels for the star cut outs from thin paper and painted them with Candlelight Spectrum Noir Sparkle Glitter Ink for a pretty sparkle during the day and the thin paper lets the flameless candlelight shine through beautifully at night.
