My Day 19 of 31 Days of Halloween Hop inspiration for you today is a spooky spellbinding scene featuring the faBOOlous Ghost Balleigh Monster from the SPOOKtember 2020 releaseπ
As we draw closer to the witching hour the portal from the dark realm is opening and creatures are beginning to appear in the swirling fog!
Ghost Balleigh Monster and his cauldron of bats are emerging from the magical storm. Awww, he doesn’t look that scary.....creepy but cute!
GASP....in a flash of magical lightning his true nature is revealed....HE IS SCARYπ± What a spellbinding sight!
I coloured Ghost Balleigh Monster with Prismacolor pencils and created the background with Hickory Smoke, Shaded Lilac and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide inks and Black Soot Distress Ink. I then splattered it with Frayed Burlap and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide sprays and Tarnished Pewter Distress Stain spray.
The BOO frame is a Silhouette Design Store cut file by FoxSister and the stars are from the cut outs of my Quirkleighs CarnEVIL luminary. I made a folded card base from heavy weight white cardstock and coloured the narrow border beneath the purple mat layer with black Copic marker. The top panel is white glitter cardstock and I adhered the Ghost panel to it with black foam tape for a fun dimensional effect.
For the magical lighting effect I painted Ghost’s eyes, nose, mouth and claws, all the bat eyes, the entire BOO frame and all the stars with glow-in-the-dark paint.
Happy Haunting!
