Gothic 13 Book Page SVG Cutz

My make for Day 13 of our 31 Days of Halloween SPOOKtivities is a faBOOlous "Book Page" featuring SVG Cutz and Decorative Digi Papers from my new THIS IS HALLOWEEN 2023 Collection, a Digi Stamp from the Once Upon a Nightmare 2021 Collection and an SVG Cutz from the Shadows Rising 2022 Collection🎃
You know I love making luminaries and adding glowing elements to my makes every Halloween and this year's make lights up and glows in the dark too!
The main focal point of my THIS IS HALLOWEEN Book Page is the faBOOlous Gothic 13 SVG Cutz set. Using my Silhouette Cameo 4 I cut the overlay from black cardstock and the shadow layer from Scrapbook.com green glitter paper and adhered the cut pieces together with Artis Craft Glue.
To make my Book Page I used the Page elements included in my new spooktcular THIS IS HALLOWEEN Make-a-Book SVG Cutz
kit.
To give the Page rigidity I cut the base Page from heavy weight black cardstock then from different black cardstock I cut a second
base Page to cover it as well as one of the matching Page mats. The bottom mat is cut from Crafter's Companion green textured linen
cardstock and the top Page panel from a print of my "31 Days of
Halloween" orange paper from my new "31 Days of Halloween" Decorative Digi Paper
pack. My printer did it's own thing when I printed out this particular
sheet and I got a fun two tone coz the yellow ink must have been
temporarily blocked at the start of the print. I then edged the green mat and the decorative paper mat with Spectrum Noir metallic gold pigment ink.
Next I cut the Gothic Frame elements from my Shadows Rising Gothic Frame SVG Cutz set out of black cardstock and the interior mat layer from a green pattern included in the "This is Halloween" Decorative Digi Paper
pack and adhere the cut elements together with Artis Craft Glue.
This orange "13" paper is from the "This is Halloween" Decorative Digi Paper
pack and I tore it down the right hand side and applied Tim Holtz Distress Glow Grit Paste to the torn edge and once dry I applied Spectrum Noir metallic gold pigment ink to the other 3 edges.
I used the Tim Holtz Alphanumeric Stretch Upper dies to make FRIDAY and die cut them from a scrap of my orange decorative paper and heavy weight black cardstock and layered them up to create nice chunky letters.
After adhering all the Page layers and the Gothic Frame to the base Page I punched a hole through the entire page and threaded through some wired dew drop lights. I added black foam tape and secured the lights in place to the back of the Gothic 13 panel and adhered the panel to the Page. I secured the tiny battery pack to the back of the page which I plan to cleverly hide later!
I decorated the Page with my Wicked Moon and bats from the Tim Holtz Moonlight die set cut from black cardstock and 2 from scraps of my orange digi paper.
I’m quite impressed with the bright glow of the Tim Holtz Distress Glow Grit Paste and that it can be tinted different colours, something to play around with later!
How’s this for freaky!

ReplyDeleteSPOOKtacular Friday the 13th book with the lights!! Love the layering of the elements and the glow grit paste is awesome! I got to invest in some glow in the dark products because they are so neat to use in projects and really add to it.
