Now for Day 22 of 31 Days of Halloween Blog Hop
and
Day 1 of the Cat Lovers Hop
"Feline Luminary"
and
Day 1 of the Cat Lovers Hop
"Feline Luminary"
by Leigh
I love making luminaries and my project today features Kitty Luna, Wiccan Moon, Tangled Vampire Cat and my new design, Kitty Pumpkin Hat.
I constructed a coffin shaped luminary box from black cardstock and embellished it with graveyard and spider web die cut elements. I used copper and silver metallic rub-on creme to give it the look of wrought iron. I printed my cat designs out on a transparency sheet and coloured them with Ranger Alchohol Inks. Vellum panels were added to enhance the colour of the printed panels and also to diffuse the tea light glow.
The above compilation photo shows each panel and how pretty the die cuts look but it looks blurry coz the printed images are casting shadows onto the vellum panels.
Here's a better view of the cat panels!
Neo is particularly fond of this one he says and gives it a 100% seal of aPURRoval😻
Looks BOOtiful in the evening glow with some of my other kitty projects😻
A view of the interior with the flameless tea light candle inside.
Materials used:
Ranger Alcohol Inks
Impression Obsession Dies
Printer Transparency
Black Cardstock
Vellum
Copper and silver rub-on antiquing creme
Double-side tape
Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive
I've entered this one in:
