"Want Candy"
card by Leigh
Today I'm sharing the "glow-in-the-dark" Alien card I made for my nephew, it's totally creeptastic and I think he'll love it👽
The Alien horde has landed and they're here for your candy👽
I used the Alien, UFO and Red Tape Snippets words from my new The Truth is Out There Somewhere sci-fi collection to create this scene👽 I made a Distress Oxides/Inks galaxy sky for my background and coloured the images with Prismacolor pencils.
Turn out the lights and the magic happens!
I painted the Aliens' eye highlights, the UFO port holes and lights and the Red Tape words with glow-in-the-dark paint....how wicked cool is that👻

Such an awesome card, love how you used the Alien to create an Ailen horde.....fabulous lighting, so cool! x
ReplyDeleteOh for me Ailen with Sigourney Weaver!
DeleteThank you so much! Oh yes, Alien & Aliens scared me as a kid but now they rank high in my faves and have seen them all a million times! I'm a huge Alien fan!
DeleteNow I am guessing Jurassic World doesn’t count as monsters although it is quite scary and I’m not sure if Day of the Triffords counts either. The most scary movie for me was the original Jaws film. I guess it depends on what you think “monsters” means. I looked up a list of Moster movies which included alien movies and supernatural.
ReplyDeleteAs for the Why? Part, because it scared me out of me socks!! Your Alien card is fantastic. I am going to have to buy some glow in the dark paint!
DeleteThank you Angela! Oh yes, if your socks are scared off then they totally qualify LOL! Dinosaurs can be monsters if terrifying and I'm with you there, JAWS is one of my all time fave scary movies!
DeleteFantastic! Love all your creations!! My favorite Monster movie has to be Creature from the black lagoon
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Tink & oh yes, the classic scary movies are awesome!
DeleteThe alien faces - all lite up - are
ReplyDeletespooktacular. If this was my project,
I think I'd be scared - even
though I'd made it. thanks for
sharing. txmlhl(at)yahoo(dot)com
Haven't seen a scary movie in years.
DeleteI do remember being frightened by
Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte.
A friend and I saw it together and
it spooked both of us.
Thank you Mary! Oooo I will have to look that one up, I haven't seen Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte!
DeleteLove the ghoulish aliens with creepy glowing eyes that WANT CANDY! When I was a kid THE BIRDS scared me to death. I still fear flocks of birds flying overhead!
ReplyDeleteThank you Lyneen! Oh yes, Hitchcock at his best!
DeleteOMGoodness - that is outstanding. The glow in the dark is amazing. He's going to love this one :-D x
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Ike!
DeleteThis is pretty awesome! I absolutely LOVE the fun sentiment
ReplyDeletewith all those aliens! They can have ALL my candy is all I'd
say if they come to my door ... lol Love the glow in the dark!!
Thank you so much Becca! Yep, a peek threw the peep hole first might be a good idea this year LOL!
