LeighSBDesigner Val is kicking off our A Charming Christmas Hop+Challenge festivities today and today is also extra special coz it's Val's birthday🎉
Val started this amazing Christmas decoration by super-sizing the Christmas Tree Charm from the Christmas Tree Charms Lace SVG Cutz set in Silhouette Studio and cut it out of Hobby Craft Smooth White Cardstock using her Silhouette Portrait 3 electronic cutting machine. From the same set she then cut out the Xmas Stocking, Angel, Bell, Robin and Snowman Charms too and coloured them and the Christmas Tree with a metallic gold Sharpie. Also included in the set is the Pine Garland which Val cut out multiple times from green glitter cardstock.
Also included in the Christmas Tree Charms Lace SVG Cutz are the matching mat layers which Val cut from white, red, yellow and blue cardstocks. Val decorated her x-large Christmas Tree with all the garlands and charms and also embellished with pretty self adhesive pearls. The finishing touch is her Snowflake tree topper which is a lace overlay cut included in both the Elegant Snowflake Ornament Stand 3D Lace SVG Cutz and the Charming Christmas Ornament Layered SVG Cutzwhich she also embellished with a snowflake left over from another project...always keep those little cuts left over on your cutting mats for future projects❄️
What a truly magical and clever make this is and a fabulous way to kick off our festivities today!

You can play in the A Charming Christmas Hop+Challenge
as often as you want throughout the month by linking up your Winter and Christmas themed makes and then hop the linky party
to see all the wonderful makes shared here at LeighSBDesigns as well
as all the makes linked up on the same days you choose to play and leave lots of love as you go.
The
point of the Hop part of the Hop+Challenge is all the wonderful
inspiration you get while meeting up with fellow crafters and bringing
joy to their day by leaving them lots of love as you hop. By hopping
and commenting you automatically qualify for the Hop Prizes, sometimes
they're sponsored prizes and sometimes they're mystery prizes provided by me!

LeighSBDesigner Val is back today with more inspiration for our November "Falling into Winter Hop+Challenge" featuring a SVG Cutz set from my new Winter 2021 release,
Don't worry, it's easy to understand coz instead of building a 4 sided 3D snowflake ornament stand by cutting out 4 sets of the Elegant Snowflake Ornament Stand 3D Lace SVG Cutz Val made hers by cutting out 2 sets of all the elements so the hanging snowflake ornament piece is pretty on both sides.
Val cut out all the elements from Canson Mixed Media cardstock with her Silhouette Portrait 3 electronic cutting machine. She then coloured the large snowflake and stand base with Broken China Distress Oxide ink and then embellished multiple areas with Distress Clear Rock Candy Glitter for lots of wintery sparkle! Val completed her wonderful hanging snowflake ornament with a white and silver cord for the hanger.
My inspirational makes for you today is a set of elegant gift tags featuring Digi Stamps and SVG Cutz from my new Winter 2021 release, A Charming Christmas❄️
I cut 4 of the base tag layer from the Charming Snowflake Tag - Make A Tag Layered SVG Cutz out of pale silver Crafter's Companion glitter cardstock and the overlay layers included in the set out of vellum. Before cutting the vellum overlays I printed the wonderful Christmas and Winter senties onto the vellum and then cut everything out using my Silhouette Cameo 4.
The mixed media cardstock is textured so I first base coloured the gold charms with a metallic gold Sharpie marker and the silver charm with metallic silver.
I then used my Gemini Foil Press to heat apply metallic gold and silver foils to all the charms.
Because the cardstock I used for the charms is textured the foiling has a wonderful faceted effect that changes as the light hits them.
I layered up all the tag elements and secured them together with pretty metallic ribbons.
On the Robin Charm Tag I used a metallic gold ribbon and two types of silver ribbon for the rest.
I went with silver foil and silver ribbon for the Snowman Charm Tag.
The finished tags are so elegant and will look splendid on my gifts this year!
The backs of the glitter tag bases are white and the perfect spot for writing my Christmas messages.
