Goldenrain Leaf Study card by Leigh

My ‘Tis the Season Blog Hop inspiration for you today celebrates the beauty of Autumn and the Thanksgiving holiday and features 1 of my 3 new Goldenrain Leaf Study illustrations🍁 

 

I used Nuance pigment powders and mixed media cardstock to make my watercoloured background.

 

 

I used one of my new Goldenrain Leaf Study illustrations and typed the sentiment "Blessed" onto the design in Photoshop.  I then printed the design out onto my watercoloured paper.  I painted the leaves and stem with light green Spectrum Noir "Linen" glitter ink for a beautiful shimmery sparkle.  

 

 

The beauty of the sparkle effect is hard to capture in photos so here's a little video. 

 

 

I layered the leaf panel onto black, gold glitter and deep red cardstock mats then mounted everything onto a folded card base made from heavy weight white cardstock.
