Goldenrain Leaf Study card by Leigh

My ‘Tis the Season Blog Hop inspiration for you today celebrates the Thanksgiving holiday and the beauty of Autumn and features 1 of the 3 new Goldenrain Leaf Study illustrations🍁

 

I used Nuance pigment powders and mixed media cardstock to make my watercoloured background.

 

 

I used one of my new Goldenrain Leaf Study illustrations and typed the sentiment "Thankful" onto the design in Photoshop.

 

I then printed the design out onto my watercoloured paper.  I rubbed Spectrum Noir clear glitter ink all over the design panel for a beautiful shimmery sparkle but the effect was impossible to capture in the photos!  It really is soooo pretty glinting in the sunlight!

 

I edged the main panel with Spectrum Noir Midas gold pigment ink then layered it onto black, deep yellow and more black cardstock mats.  I then mounted everything onto a folded card base made from heavy weight white cardstock and completed the card with the 3 self adhesive yellow diamond jewels.

 

 

I decided to make a landscape card but the design is equally beautiful in the portrait format too!
