Day 2
"Everlasting Love"
Loveleigh Kitty Card

❤ We wish you all everlasting love on this wonderful Valentine's and Galentine's Day ❤
For Day 2's inspiration for our 7th annual Gothic Valentine celebration I've got a Gothic romance Loveleigh Kitty themed card for you featuring the Love Hearts Kitty from my new Loveleigh Kitties "The Love Cats" mini collection.
To make my card I first printed out the Love Hearts Kitty and coloured her up with Copics and Prismacolor pencils. I then fussy cut her out leaving a narrow white border then adhered her to a piece of deep red cardstock and fussy cut her out again with a narrow red border.
I made a folded card base from heavy weight white cardstock and cut a deep red cardstock mat 1/4" inch smaller and edged it with Spectrum Noir Midas gold pigment ink. I used a Tim Holtz Halloween Backdrop for my background and cut it 1/4" smaller than the red mat. The vintage shabby chic botanical backdrop was PURRfect for my Love Hearts Kitty card.
The Crafter"s Companion nesting frame die set I used has a wonderful Gothic romance vibe. I cut the panels from deep red cardstock and applied metallic gold pigment ink to the outer edge of the smaller frame. I kept the heart cut outs from the interior panel, coloured them with a metallic gold paint pen and paper pieced them back into the frame.
From a piece of scrap red cardstock I used a Crafter's Companion die to cut out the "Everlasting Love" sentiment which I also coloured with the metallic gold paint pen.
All the die cuts were cut with double sided adhesive sheets applied to the cardstock to make adhering everything to the card a breeze and for a touch of wonderful dimension I adhered the Love Hearts Kitty in place with foam tape.
