Yesterday, Jan 19th, was Edgar Allan Poe's Birthday and as is tradition here at LeighSBDesigns we celebrate with 5 glorious days of all things Poe and this year's hop is underway so come and join us for our

"Ode to Poe"

Art Journal Cover and Page 1

For Day 2 of our POEtastic 7th annual Poe Appreciation Blog Hop LeighSBDesiger Val is here with the start of her wonderful "Ode to Poe" Art Journal. Today I'm sharing her POEtastic cover and page 1!

Val is using a 6 x 6 inch black journal book for her Poe themed art journal and decorated the front cover with Ode to Poe and the "NEVERMORE" text is from my Distressed Raven Nevermore design.

She also used Stampendous Fran-tage Chunky White and deep impression embossing enamel to embellish the cover.

The first page of Val's POEtastic art journal is handsomely decorated with Poe's signature from the Edgar Allan Poe Portrait and Signature digi stamp set! She created a wonderful background paper using the Poe Signature design and also embellished the gorgeous embossed panel with it too.

Val used the following supplies to create her first page: Gemini Embossing Folder, Spectrum Noir Midas Metallic Silver pigment ink pad, Blueprint Sketch and Black Soot Distress Oxide ink pads, Hobby Craft smooth white yardstick and black cardstock.
