“You Stole My Heart”
shaker card by Leigh

For today’s finale I made a gothic heart shaped shaker card featuring my Skull Roses Collage and “You Stole My Heart” sentiment from the Dark Sentiments 1 set!

To make the shaker heart card I used a Cut ‘n Emboss Gemini die from Crafter’s Companion die cut 3 times from heavy weight black cardstock.  Two pieces make the front frame and the 3rd creates the easel back.  To enhance the embossed design I applied gold Spectrum Noir gilding wax.

For the Skull Roses Collage I used Fired Brick, Festive Berries and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Sprays to make the coloured background and printed the design on to it and then water coloured the roses and skulls using water soluble crayons.

The hearts I put inside were left over from my Dark Valentine card I shared on Day 3.  They’re die cut from black glitter card using Tim’s Falling Hearts die!

I printed the “You Stole My Heart” sentiment onto more Distress Oxide sprayed cardstock and die cut it out using a mini ornate tag from the Precious Memories Crafter’s Companion collection.  I also cut a tag from black cardstock to cover the back of the tag.  I attached the tag to the shaker card with a tiny gold brad which allows the tag to move.

Here you can see the easel back with the design enhanced with gold gilding wax too!

We had a ball creating our Dark Valentine makes again this year, thanks again for celebrating with us😘  I will tally up the hop Monday so check back to make sure you didn’t miss any posts while hopping!  I will announce the winners soon after so make sure to stop by often to see if you’re a winner😉  If you’re not already following us then please do, I’ll be releasing new designs soon, celebrating LeighSBDesigns’ birthday in April closely followed by my annual Halloween in May blog hop too!  Lots to do and see and you really don’t want to miss a thing😁

Thanks for stopping by to see today's featured project😘
Happy Hopping!
