Howzit Everyone!
Today I'm sharing a Rick St Dennis EDT project, a Steampunk Seahorse ATC. The Seahorse is actually a partial of the gorgeous digi stamp called Atlantis especially for Miranda and it's currently on sale! Our new Facebook group challenge for March is Metal Magic so of course I couldn't resist creating with a Steampunk theme.
I started out by deciding on how much of the Steampunk Seahorse I wanted to see and then sized the image to ATC size, which is 2.5"x3.5", in Photoshop CS6 and printed it out onto Neenah solar white cardstock. The entire ATC is coloured with Copic markers and I began by scribbling 3 shades of cool grey Copics and then randomly dripping Ranger Alcohol Ink Solution on the background area to create the fun watery effect.
The Seahorse is coloured with various warm greys, cool greys and yellows to achieve the various metal looks and then enchanced with metallic silver and gold gel pens. The water background was also enhanced with 2 shades of blue-green Copics and metallic blue Promarker. I tried to capture the metallic shimmer in the photo below. I completed my ATC with simple punched corners (Marvy punch) and edged with the metallic blue Promarker.
