Coffee Siren Pocket Gift Card - Blockheads' September Challenge!

Hello Everyone!
It's challenge time again at Blockheads Paper Arts and this time design team member, Barb, has a demo on how to make a super easy and super fun pocket card.  Check out her tutorial and get all the info on how to enter the challenge here!

Here's my take on the pocket card.  I know most of you hear the call of the Coffee Siren or at least know someone who does.  Here's a little giftie idea that is suitable for any occasion and a perfect stocking stuffer for all those coffee junkies ;0)

The star of my pocket card is a Siren from Blockheads new Collage Sirens plus the square star image from the same set and I used various Coffee related images from their full sheet of stamps called Coffee Tea.

I made my pocket card blank from Neenah Solar White cardstock following the measurements provided in Barb's tutorial - 4.25" x 11".  I made a score line for the front flap 4.75" from the edge and 1" in from the edge on the other end for the tab.

Stamp the Siren on the front flap with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colour her with the following Copic markers:  Skin:  E000, 01 and 02.  Hair and Clothing:  E13, 15 and 17.
Make a little mask from a post-it note for the part of her robe that sticks out on the far right and stamp a background design with the square star stamp.  Decorate the entire pocket card, front and back with the various images.

Once everything is stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink stamp over everything with the coffee bean stamp in Brilliance Pearlescent Chocolate and rub at the wet ink with a piece of scrunched up paper towel after every impression to stain the cardstock and create a burnt wood effect.

Round the top fold corners and the bottom edge of the front of the card with a corner rounder punch.

Cut a length of brown/white and black/white butcher's twine and wrap it around the top fold and tie a bow.  Knot the loose ends.

Fold over the bottom tab and staple to create the pocket.  Embellish the front of the pocket card with amber self-adhesive rhinestones.

Tuck in a gift card to Starbucks and whoever you give this little giftie too will be your friend for life I'm sure, LOL ;0)

Thanks for stopping by to check out my pocket card project!  I hope you'll have lots of fun making your own and I look forward to seeing your entries in the challenge!
