Tutorial Tuesdays: "White Rabbit Grunge in Wonderland" Easter Greetings Card by Leigh!

Hiya Creative Friends!
I've got a Wonderland themed "Easter Greetings" card tutorial for you today featuring the newest addition to LeighSBDesigns Grunge in Wonderland series, the White Rabbit Grunge Collage🐰  Today's featured digi is on FLASH SALE until midnight (pacific) Thursday so snap him up and make some fun alternative Easter Bunny cards this year🐰

You all know how much I love Alice in Wonderland so of course I couldn't resist using my White Rabbit Grunge Collage along with Sizzix's "Happy Holidays" Fold-A-Long die set to make some elegant and unusual Easter Bunny cards🐰  The card shape totally reminds me of an egg too, how much fun is that!  Lets get started😋

Start off by creating coloured backgrounds with Distress Oxides.  I used Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet, Candied Apple and Squeezed Lemonade.  Dab the inks onto a craft sheet, spritz with water and smoosh mixed media cardstock onto the inks.  Dry the cardstock with a heat tool and print out the White Rabbit Grunge Collage.

Die cut out the card base from black cardstock.  I altered the layout slightly by making the inside panel narrower to eliminate the cut out that would normally be down the center.

Die cut out the card base again from yellow cardstock.   Cut out each section with scissors before embossing each piece with KaiserCraft's Card Suits embossing folder.

Adhere all the embossed panels to the black card base with your favourite adhesive.

Die cut out the White Rabbit using the insert panel die and edge it with a metallic gold paint pen.  Adhere the panel to black cardstock and fussy cut it out leaving a narrow border.  Line the White Rabbit panel up on the folded card to determine the center and cut it in half.

Apply Fired Brick Distress Ink to all the panels to colour and enhance the embossed design.

Adhere the White Rabbit panels to the card front and apply Black Soot Distress Ink to the panel edges.

Do the same to the edges inside the card too.

I made my own sentiment panel for the inside of the card by using the insert die as a stencil and cut it out with scissors.  Stamp the Easter Greetings sentiment with Onyx Black Versafine ink and edge the panel in metallic gold.  Mat on black cardstock and cut out leaving a narrow border to match the White Rabbit panel on the front of the card.

Add a touch of sparkle to the White Rabbit design with clear Wink of Stella and gold Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens.

Add metallic gold gel pen details and clear Wink of Stella sparkle to the stamped sentiment and embellish with flowers and leaves die cut from the Distress Oxides cardstock and black cardstock.  Edge a flower, all the leaves and colour one flower with the metallic gold paint pen then complete the card with black 3D Inkssentials Glossy Accents applied to the centers of both flowers.

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial and have been inspired to make your own Wonderland themed Easter cards this year🐰  Tip:  make them even more special by writing your personalized messages on the other side, metallic gold on black cardstock is fun and elegant😋
