My PURRtastic Loveleigh Kitties in Wonderland Collection brings a new whimsical and quirky twist to Lewis Carroll's tale, or tail...giggle!  A brand new adventure to the fantasy world of Wonderland is here with the iconic characters re-imagined as adorable Loveleigh Kitties and Rabbit joins them too!

Alice

Alice is the picture of whimsical cuteness from her PURRfect little heart shaped nose to her fluffy tail.  She has a sweet face with big charming eyes, a cute little bow sits prettily on her head and around her long elegant neck she wears a collar with a letter "A" charm attached.  On her slimline curvy body Alice is wearing her iconic pinafore dress with a playing card suite trim and her apron, tied with a large bow behind her waist, is adorned with a cute heart and bunny ears appliqué.

Hatter

The Mad Hatter is a dashingly handsome kitty from his fancy top hat to his fluffy tail.  His adorable face has a heart shaped nose and he wears cute bow tie around his long elegant neck.  Tucked into his chessboard patterned hat band is the iconic 10/6 price tag, 10 shillings and sixpence was the price of a hat in mid-19th century England.  On his slimline curvy body Hatter is wearing a wonderlandful chessboard trimmed coat, a shirt with an upturned collar beneath his little waistcoat that's embellished with a tiny button and 2 diamond shaped studs and around his waist he's sporting a wide belt adorned with a cute heart shaped buckle.

Queen

The Queen of Hearts is a pretty kitty from her sweet heart shaped nose to her fluffy tail.  She is the picture of royalty with a magnificent heart bejeweled crown upon her cute head and she wears a heart shaped jewel on her long elegant neck that's framed by a stiff collar.  On her slimline curvy body the Queen is wearing her iconic gown with pretty puffy sleeves, a sweetheart striped bodice and a layered skirt with a heart and chessboard design.  She also has a tiny curly letter "Q" embroidered on her skirt to complete her royal attire.

Cheshire

The Cheshire Cat is the most curious mischievous kitty in the whole of Wonderland from his iconic quirky grin to his bushy tail.  This adorable kitty has a little heart shaped nose and a sweet little heart appliqué adorns his fury striped slimline body.

Rabbit

The White Rabbit joins the Loveleigh Kitties crew in this fun Wonderland collection and he's a handsome fellow indeed from his long bunny ears to his fluffy cotton tail.  His attire combines both of his iconic outfits;  he has his day coat on over his royal heart card suite tunic complete with a ruffled collar around his long neck.  He has round spectacles perched on his tiny heart shaped nose and he carries a large pocket watch attached to him with a large chain that says 6 o'clock.

  The Santa Ana winds are taking a break and giving Southern California much needed time to recover.  Headway has been made in fighting our many wildfires while new ones popped up over the weekend even while we had rain which, in my opinion, points at people starting these fires whether by accident or on purpose!  Please consider donating to the American Red Cross and the Humane Society of the US, particularly Pasadena Humane which is a good verified place to donate to help all the poor animals.

"Hello Winter"

Raven Tree Silhouette

You all enjoyed seeing my new Raven Tree Sihouettes in action during our 10th annual Edgar Allan Poe CREATivities and now LeighSBDesigner Val is here today with a beautiful Winter themed card showing just how versatile the Raven Tree Silhouette digi stamp really is.

 

 

The Raven Tree Silhouette digi stamp is a wonderful winter tree scene with four Ravens perched on the bare branches that extend out from both sides of the trunk.  Whether you're a fan of Poe, Ravens and Winter scenery you can do so much with this wonderful design from making cards to home decor!

 

 

 

To make her beautiful and sparkly Winter scene panel Val created her frosty background with Broken China and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide inks on white cardstock and printed out the Raven Tree Silhouette digi stamp.  She then rubber stamped the "Hello Winter" sentiment directly to the panel with black Versafine ink.  Next she applied a full sheet of double sided adhesive to the whole panel and covered it with Distress Clear Rocky Candy Glitter for lots of pretty winter sparkle.  To complete her beautiful card she adhered the scene panel to a side fold card made from heavy weight white cardstock.  The all-over-glitter technique is an oldie but a goodie and creates such a pretty frosty effect.

"Serene Reflections"

Raven Tree Silhouette

Slimline Make

I'm back for the finale of our Edgar Allan Poe CREATivities today with a beautiful reflections Raven Tree scene featuring my new Raven Tree Slimline Silhouette digi stamp, a saying from my Conspiracy of Ravens digi set and one of my gorgeous digi decorative papers from the Vintage Grunge Decorative Digi Paper pack.

 

  

I intended a beautiful serene scene but I guess my mind was on the wildfires as I created this one and it seems more apocalyptic with the tree and ravens silhouetted against a fiery hellscape 😧  The human suffering is bad enough but it's the devastation to nature and all the animals that is just so heart wrenching 😧

 

 

 

I designed my scene in Photoshop by layering the Raven Tree Slimline Silhouette digi stamp onto the decorative digi paper from the Vintage Grunge Decorative Digi Paper pack and then added the mirror image of the tree to create the reflection.   I then printed it out and trimmed it to make my slimline panel.

 

 

 

 I then applied Bronze Spectrum Noir Midas pigment ink to the edges of the top panel and mounted it onto a black cardstock mat.  Next I cut mats from rust brown and a brownish grey textured cardstock that picked up on the various brown hues in my decorative digi paper and edged those with the bronze metallic pigment ink too for an elegant distressed look.

 

 

 Next I cut my last black mat to 4 x 9 inches and adhered the 2 brown mats to it with glue and then mounted the main panel to them with black foam tape strips to add dimension.

 

 

The "Conspiracy of Ravens" saying is one of the two sayings included in my Conspiracy of Ravens digi set.  I changed the colour of the text in Photoshop from black to white and added the black background and printed it out in a various sizes.  I used one size on yesterday's make and a smaller size for today's make and the rest went in my stash for future makes.  

 

 

 

Next I mounted the saying onto 5 layers of heavy weight black cardstock to create a nice chunky piece.

 

 

I then applied Bronze Spectrum Noir Midas pigment ink to the edges and adhered it to my make with glue.
