Day 27 of 31 Days of Halloween
"Off With Your Head"
Queen of Hearts
Panel #12
 by Leigh

The White Rabbit, now dressed in his royal attire, greeted Alice, Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat and the Tweedle Twins at the palace entrance and rushed them to the giant closed door that led into the Royal Court.

"What are you doing?" whispered Alice to the White Rabbit as he fussed them into their grand entrance order.
"Getting you ready to be royally announced into the Halloween party of course" said Rabbit.
"Halloween Party?  What Halloween party?
WAIT...you've KNOWN about this the whole time?" Alice whispered furiously.

"Don't you DARE announce my name" Alice frantically whispered as the White Rabbit opened the giant door and proudly raised his golden trumpet to announce the arrival of the party guests.

Alice was positioned just behind the Tweedle Twins and cautiously peered between their shoulders at the royal throne where the intimidating Queen of Hearts sat impatiently waiting for her Halloween party to begin.

"Your Royal Highness, may I present the Tweedle Twins and....um...guest?" gulped the White Rabbit nervously.

Suspicious the Queen of Hearts rose menacingly from her throne,
"Um Guest?  WHO IS UM GUEST!" she demanded.

To her horror the Tweedle Twins sidestepped in opposite directions revealing Alice and shouted, "SURPRISE, we invited Alice to your Halloween party!"

"You did WHAT?" screamed the Queen of Hearts as her face turned every shade of red.

The Queen stared furiously at Alice...her doppelganger.
The resemblance was uncanny which infuriated the Queen even more, although she haughtily thought to herself, I'm clearly more beautiful with my red hair and royal gown.
But still...there can only be ONE of ME!

In fury the Queen of Hearts lunged forward to grab Alice and roared,
"OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!"

The Royal Court erupted in chaos as everyone scattered in different directions.
Terrified, Alice fled the Royal Court catching a glimpse of a dozen or more royal Card Guards chasing after her.  She burst through a door and found herself in a Chessboard Rose Garden, "Oh dear, I think I'm lost" said Alice.

"Over here Alice!" whispered a little voice and Alice turned to see a friendly face on top of a small Pumpkin and Roses Topiary.  "Shush" grimaced the other two jack o' lanterns, "You're going to get our roses cut off or worse" they warned.
"We're not all wicked here and must help Alice find her way out" said the friendly jack o' lantern and quickly whispered directions to Alice.

I'm back for Day 27 of our 31 Days of Halloween SPOOKtivities with the 12th in a series of panels featuring designs from my new Wicked Wonderland Halloween Collection.
The panels will be stored in an ornate tin I'm altering and all will be revealed on Oct 31st 😁

I coloured the digi images in Adobe Fresco then printed and fussy cut out the "Queen of Hearts" Wicked Alice, 2 "Pumpkin and Roses" Wicked Topiaries and the "Off With Your Head" Wicked Arrow Sign leaving a narrow white border to make them all "glow" and pop nicely against the background.

Using the keyhole template I made based on the ornate tin I'm altering, I cut the shape of the main panel from heavy weight black cardstock and a 1/4" smaller background mat layer for both the front and back of the panel cut from the gothic Thorn and Bloom paper pad by Crafter's Companion.  I then edged all the pieces with Spectrum Noir metallic gold pigment ink and adhered the front and back layers to the black panel.

I then adhered the topiaries in place with glue and adhered the Queen of Hearts with black foam tape for dimension.  For even more fun dimension and shine I used red Nuvo dimensional gel on the crown's heart jewel, gold Viva Pearl 3D gel on the other card suit shapes and used glow-in-the-dark paint on her green eyes, the 2 green crown jewels and all the jack o' lanterns eye highlights.  I also added Tim Holtz Ignite neon alcohol ink to the crown jewels and the plant pots and painted the pumpkin jewel on her crown and her red finger nails with transparent clear Viva Pearl 3D gel.

I embellished the scene with lots of metallic red confetti hearts and then added magical shimmer to the images with a clear Spectrum Noir glitter brush pen and used a gold Spectrum Noir glitter brush pen on the Queen's gown and crown.  The gold glitter pen has a greenish tinge to it on white cardstock which made the blood drippy edge of the skirt more creepy and picked up on the colour of the "Off With Your Head" Arrow Sign which I adhered in place with black foam tape.

On top of the roses back panel I also decorated the bottom edge with a strip of vertical diamond patterned cardstock by Recollections and turned it side ways to get the perspective chessboard look.  I then edged it with the metallic gold pigment ink and adhered it in place with glue.

The chipboard chess pieces by Stamperia where perfect for this panel which I adhered in place with glue.

Next I added the friendly "Pumpkin and Roses" Wicked Topiary and sparkled it up with the clear Spectrum Noir glitter brush pen.

The finishing touch for the back panel is the "As lost as Alice" chipboard sticker from the Lost in Wonderland chunky chipboard sticker pack by Prima Marketing which I adhered to the panel with glue.

Now for the magical black light reveal!

So spooky and pretty!

For panel #12 I used

Day 26 of 31 Days of Halloween
Pumpkin and Roses
Wicked Topiary
Panel #11
 by Leigh

Alice and her entourage arrived at the palace gates and gazed apprehensively up at the magnificent castle ahead of them.

"I shall leave you here but I wouldn't dawdle if I were you" said the White Rabbit as he dashed ahead of them towards the Royal Court.

Two giant pumpkin and roses topiaries stood guard at the gate entrance.  They were quite scary with wicked jack o' lantern grins staring right at Alice and their eyes seemed to follow her as she slowly walked by examining them closely.  The one closest to her suddenly blinked and she jumped right out of her skin for the second time today, "Curiouser and curiouser" squeaked Alice.

"Do you think we have time for another cup of tea, we could go back now to the Tea Party for a spell or two and come back later" said the Mad Hatter hopefully with a little quiver of fear in his voice.

"I really wish we could but I don't think I can go home unless we go forwards instead of backwards" said Alice resignedly.

They stepped through the gate onto a path made of shiny red cobblestone hearts.  The path meandered all the way up the hill lined with yet more wicked topiaries that turned to glare at them wickedly as they passed by.  Alice could feel all their gleaming jack o' lantern eyes watching them the whole way which made her shiver.

I'm back for Day 26 of our 31 Days of Halloween SPOOKtivities with the 11th in a series of panels featuring designs from my new Wicked Wonderland Halloween Collection.
The panels will be stored in an ornate tin I'm altering and all will be revealed on Oct 31st 😁

This panel features the SPOOKtacular "Pumpkin and Roses" Wicked Topiarythe Wicked Arrow Signs and the Falling Wicked Alice.

I coloured the digi images in Adobe Fresco then printed and fussy cut out 2 of the largest "Pumpkin and Roses" Wicked Topiary and 3 more in various sizes leaving a narrow white border to make them all "glow" and pop nicely against the background.

From the 2nd of the 2 prints of the largest topiary I fussy cut out just the rose and leaves from each tier and adhered them to the other print with black foam tape.

Using the keyhole template I made based on the ornate tin I'm altering, I cut the shape of the main panel from heavy weight black cardstock and a 1/4" smaller background mat layer for both the front and back of the panel cut from the gothic Thorn and Bloom paper pad by Crafter's Companion showing the castle scene.  I then edged all the pieces with Spectrum Noir metallic gold pigment ink and adhered the front and back layers to the black panel.

I then adhered the largest topiary with the "Tea Party" Arrow Sign, the pocket watch and the tiny Candy Bat taken from the Falling Wicked Alice collage, and the 2 smaller topiaries in place with glue and black foam tape.

To make the meandering cobblestone pathway I used metallic red confetti hearts and I then added magical shimmer to the images with a clear Spectrum Noir glitter brush pen.

I kept the back panel simple to show off the gorgeous Thorn and Bloom decorative paper that includes BOOtiful roses and a gothic arch as the entrance to the Royal Court.

I adhered the topiary and the arrow sign to the panel with black foam tape.

For my magical black light effects I used Tim Holtz' Ignite Neon Alcohol ink on the largest plant pot as well as eye highlights on the Candy Bat and painted all the jack o' lantern faces with glow-in-the-dark paint.

 GITD paint is so fun!

For the back panel I just used the glow-in-the-dark paint on the topiary eyes as well as the bat which is part of the decorative paper I used.

So pretty!

For panel #11 I used the
