"Sugar Plum Fairy Cat" and "Nutcracker Cat"

Slimline Cards

For Day 10 of our Celebrate the Season Christmas Countdown I've got a set of non-traditional styled slimline Christmas cards with a traditional Nutcracker theme featuring my mini Nutcracker Collection included in the new Festive Felines 2024 Christmas Collection of FURstive kitty cuteness!

Bring the traditional Nutcracker story to life with these adorable kitties and pair them up with their matching sentiment sets as well as the Nutcracker Signature Senties set of 2 large sayings that go with both of the Loveleigh Kitties in the mini collection too!

 

The mini Nutcracker Collection digi sets are available individually and as a Bundle!

 

My first make features the lovely Sugar Plum Fairy Cat!

 She's an enchanting fairy themed kitty from her tiny fairy wings to her cute fluffy tail.  Sugar Plum Fairy Cat is based on the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker story and is part of my mini Nutcracker Collection.  Her lovely face with adorable large eyes and a heart shaped nose is delicately framed by tousled curls with her dainty tiara sitting prettily upon her fancy hairstyle.  She is wearing an elegant ballerina gown and her long slender body is adorned with candy.

  

 I coloured both the Sugar Plum Fairy Cat and the Nutcracker Cat in Adobe Fresco, printed them then fussy cut them out with scissors leaving a narrow white border that makes the kitties pop nicely against the patterned background papers.

For lots of pretty sparkle I added Diamond Stickles glitter to her tiara, wings, bodice, candy and tail.

  

The fun "Sugar Plum Fairy" sentiment is from my new Sugar Plum Fairy Senties set of 4 PURRtastic sentiments designed to go PURRfectly with her!  I printed the senti and used my Silhouette Cameo 5 electronic cutting machine to fussy cut it out with an offset.  I used foam dots to adhere the sentiment to the card.

 

 

I made my slimline card from heavy weight white cardstock and cut the background mats and layers from fun candy themed and plaid background cardstocks by Diamond Press.  I cut the bottom edge of the candy panel with a Crafter's Companion Doily Border edgeable die then matted it onto a yellow cardstock panel.  I then created a double border yellow cardstock panel with the same die and adhered it on top of the background panel.  I then applied Diamond Stickles glitter to the yellow border and the die cut border.  To complete my card I die cut Crafter's Companion snowflakes from yellow cardstock and added Stickles glitter dots to their centers.

 

 

I mounted the panel onto the plaid panel with foam tape for some fun dimension and adhered the Sugar Plum Fairy Cat in place with glue and foam tape to allow for the height difference and also pop up her fluffy tail too.  I only applied glue to her shoulders so her wings could flutter free.

 

 

My second make features the Nutcracker Cat!

 The Nutcracker Cat is a handsome soldier themed kitty from his magnificent military hat to his fluffy tail.  His face sports a mustache, a heart shaped nose and the traditional hinged mouth of a Nutcracker and he's wearing a traditional Nutcracker's uniform on his long slimline curvy body.

 

  

I made my slimline card from heavy weight white cardstock and cut the background mats and layers from fun candy themed and stripe background cardstocks by Diamond Press.  I adhered a strip of yellow cardstock to the bottom edge of the candy panel and applied Diamond Stickles glitter to it.

 

 

I adhered the Nutcracker Cat in place with glue and foam tape to allow for the height difference of the background panels and also pop up his fluffy tail too.

 

 

 

I applied Diamond Stickles glitter to all the gold details oh his military hat and uniform and his belt buckle and fluffy tail too for lots of pretty sparkle.

 

 

 I also embellished this card with the die cut Crafter's Companion snowflakes and added Stickles glitter dots to their centers.

  

 

The fun "Nutcracker" and "CRACK CRACK CRACK" words are from my new Nutcracker Senties set of 4 PURRtastic sentiments designed to go PURRfectly with him!  I printed the senties and used my Silhouette Cameo 5 electronic cutting machine to fussy cut them out with offsets.  I used foam dots to adhere the Nutcracker senti in to the card and glue for the "CRACK" words.
