Gothic Valentine Blog Hop - Day 3: "You Make My Heart Beat" - Oddleigh Slimline Card by Leigh

Day 3

"You Make My Heart Beat"

Oddleigh Slimline Card

I'm back for Day 3 of our Gothic Valentine Hop with a gorgeous slimline card to inspire you today featuring Oddleigh Cherished Heart and my new Valentine 2023 Collection!

To make my fun slimline card I first printed out the Inky Hearts paper from my gorgeous new "Valentine" Slimline Decorative Digi Paper Pack and adhered it to a slimline card base I made from heavy weight black cardstock. I then cut out all the layers of the slimline “heart and arrows” design included in the "Queen of Hearts" SVG Cutz set; the overlay design from black cardstock, the shadow layer from dark red cardstock and all the hearts from gold mirror cardstock and layered up all the cut elements together. I then mounted the assembled cuts onto the card front with foam tape.

I coloured Oddleigh Cherished Heart in Adobe Fresco and did some digi art trickery and used the Inky Hearts slimline digi paper to colour her hair and the Heart Confetti slimline digi paper on her dress...how cute is she!!!! Then using the print and cut feature in Silhouette Studio I printed her out and used my Silhouette Cameo 4 to fussy cut her out along with a shadow mat layer cut from black cardstock.

Also in Silhouette Studio I placed the stacked senti from the "You Make My Heart Beat" Digi Stamp set on top of the Heart Confetti slimline digi paper design, then printed it and fussy cut it out with an offset plus a slightly larger shadow mat layer from black cardstock.

To give Oddleigh Cherished Heart a place to stand I also used the separate Heart Beat from the "Valentine Slimline - Multi-Elements" SVG Cutz Set. I cut the overlay from gold mirror card and the shadow mat layer from black cardstock and adhered it to the card front with one finished edge on the right hand side and trimmed it off on the left side.

To complete my slimline card I then I adhered Oddleigh Cherished Heart and the senti to the card front with black foam tape for lots of fun dimension.
