"There Are No Ordinary Cats"

Susan is joining us today as Guest Designer with her PURRtastic Carved Skelly Cat mixed media journal page😻

 

 

Susan said she was playing in her grey paged Strathmore journal (21 × 28 cm) with one of her all time favourites, Carved Skelly Cat.   Susan printed Carved Skelly Cat on pale orange tissue, tore it out and added it to the page with gel medium, along with some pieces of book paper.  To the background she added acrylics in blues and greens followed by white through a stencil, then black and grey through another.   Next she stamped a script stamp in black archival and circles in white paint.  She then coloured Carved Skelly Cat with Gelatos plus water as a sort of watercolour effect, adding Stabilo all around the edges.   Susan then painted a border in black paint and then added the sentiment in black and white Poscas.
