"Let it Snow"
Snowman Square Lace SVG Cutz Card
by Leigh

I'm back with some more magical inspiration for our A Charming Christmas Hop+Challenge festivities featuring my new "A Charming Christmas" Winter 2021 Collection of digi stamps and SVG Cutz❄️

To create this wonderful winter themed Christmas card I used my fabulous new "Let it Snow" Snowman Square Lace SVG Cutz set and the senti inside the card is from the A Charming Christmas Compendium of Festive Sayings - Digi Stamp set❄️

The "Let it Snow" Snowman Square Lace SVG Cutz is such a wonderful set to create with and customize to suit whatever style and colour scheme you like.  I went with a wonderful winter palette of white and icy blues with touches of purple and black and a hint of orange for this one❄️

I cut the "Let it Snow" Snowman square lace overlay from white cardstock with my Silhouette Cameo 4 electronic cutting machine and applied embossing ink with Tim's clear Distress Embossing Dabber and heat embossed with Distress Frosted Crystal embossing powder to get that pretty textured look to the design❄️

I then used the square mat layer included in the SVG Cutz set to cut a mat layer from Crafter's Companion foiled vellum with a pretty shiny white snow design and adhered it to the back of the lace overlay snowman scene.  I used Copics to colour the back of the vellum layer for a stained glass look and coloured the Snowman's mittens, cheek and the "Let it Snow" sentiment purple, his hat, eyes and rock "buttons" black and his carrot nose orange❄️

I then made a 6 x 6 inch folded white card from Crafter's Companion heavy weight cardstock and cut two 5.5 x 5.5 inch mat layers from Crafter's Companion textured blue cardstock, one for the card front and one for the inside of the card.  You can see how the vibrant blue then has a lovely muted look behind the vellum layer.  For lots of pretty sparkle I then applied Crystal Stickles Glitter glue to the edge of the mat layer and added some little snow dots in all 4 corners.

The "Merry Christmas" senti I used inside the card is from the A Charming Christmas Compendium of Festive Sayings - Digi Stamp set and instead of using Silhouette Studio's print and cut feature I used Silhouette's black glitter pen to draw the sentiment instead and then cut it out with an offset.  I then coloured the white areas of the senti with a lilac Copic marker and edged the cut piece with Spectrum Noir clear sparkle pen for even more pretty shimmer.

You can see how the black outline here has a pretty gold glitter in the ink plus the shimmery silvery edge❄️
