Howzit Creative Friends!
I've been having lots of fun creating with my new Daffodil Trellis design and today I'm excited to share this 3D paper art piece I've made consisting of lots of fussy cut layers and glorious dimension😊
I then mounted the finished piece inside a gorgeous shadow box I made using a 6" Build-A-Frame Crafter's Companion die. LOVE these new dies!
I printed the Daffodil Trellis out 4 times and fussy cut all the elements needed to create the dimensional piece.
The first print was used for the base layer and I detail coloured all the vertical planks of the wooden trellis and base coloured the rest of the design with Copic markers. I then used a 5 inch nesting square die to cut out the panel as well as the next 2 larger dies to cut layering mats from black and yellow cardstock.
From the 2nd print I fussy cut out the daffodils and all the horizontal trellis planks.
I then detail coloured some of the daffodil petals and all the horizontal planks.
From the 3rd and 4th prints I fussy cut out all the daffodil sections I needed as well as 2 of the daisy flowers and detail coloured them up with Copics.
I added little details and highlights to all the flowers and leaves with a white gel pen.
I then assembled the piece by adhering all the fussy cut elements onto the base panel with clear double-sided 3D foam tape.
Now for the shadow box! I die cut out the shadow box pieces from black cardstock and used the insert design dies to cut the patterns into the sides of the box which I then backed with yellow cardstock. I then die cut out the decorative panels for the top of the shadow box from the same yellow cardstock. Once assembled I applied metallic gold Pebeo wax to the entire shadow box as well as the 2 square layering mats I previously die cut which I then adhered inside the shadow box.
I then mounted the Daffodil Trellis piece inside the shadow box with 3D pop dots to add even more yummy dimension.
I designed the Daffodil Trellis with a diamond format but it looks stunning displayed as a square too!
Daffodil Trellis is currently available at LeighSBDesigns Etsy Boutique for a special intro price good thru March 27!

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely wonderful - both the digi stamps and what you have made with them here. I love it - mind you, it is compulsary to love daffodils in Wales LOL.
