Howzit Friends!
Today's new release over at The East Wind is this lovely Lucy Loo digi called "X". The Lucy Loo line is my favourite coz of the dark and edgy vibe of this character so I couldn't resist using the Monster High character, Venus McFlytrap, as my inspiration for her.
I printed out the design onto Neenah solar white cardstock and coloured her with the following Copics: YG00, 03, 06, G28, B01, 23, 24, 26, RV10, 13, 17 and Marvy Le Plume CG892, 894 and 895. I also added touches of white Prismacolour pencil and white gel pen for highlights.
I then fussy cut her out entirely and layered her onto the floral decorative paper with pop dots just along the right hand side to create an angled 3D effect. The left side is adhered with Crafter's Companion adhesive tape. To further enhance the edgy vibe of the piece I tore up some black corrugated cardstock, drybrushed it with white acrylic paint and adhered it to the left side with tape. I then mounted everything onto a white folded card I made from a sheet of cardstock. To complete the piece I cut out one of the flowers and adhered it to her hair with a pop dot and applied clear Wink of Stella to the flower and the "X" on her t-shirt for a touch of sparkle.
My Muse for this piece, Mattel's Monster High doll
